Bon Vonage to the Brits - and a Note from the Past

Hey Pupsters -

We said goodbye to Sarah, Will, and my buddy Freddie on Tuesday. I had a great time with them while they were in Boston. They came over to my house on Sunday so that Dad and Will could reminisce about the good old days at Hurst and look through a number of the photo albums dad retrieved from our storage unit. Dad even dug up his British Yearbook which he founded, and as I am told, is one of the first of its kind in England. A copy is actually in the British National Library (or so the story goes!).

While the boys were catching up, mom had fun entertaining Freddie who seemed to want her Sea Island baseball cap that dad bought her back in February. I was a little too excited with the Fredster running around so Dad decided to give me a "pup out" in the crate. I actually like the crate, so it was no big deal to me.

After the Lowndes left, dad was going through one of the photo albums, and tucked away in the back of one book, he found a letter. The letter was from his grandfather Ellis, dated March 15, 1988. In it, Ellis mentions something about buying some travellers checks for a trip. Dad explained he was on his way to Spain that spring - before going to England in the fall. While the cash was long gone, ironically enough there was a FIVE POUND NOTE in the same envelope. The note is over 20 years old - and looks considerable different from the currency today. How pup is that?

Things are getting back to normal with our friends now back across the pond. Mom and Dad have been busy this week with trips to Marlborough, Portland, and Providence to name a few. Dad is off to California as well next week!

As for me - the pup life continues....great walks with Jordan, playtime with Mom and Dad, and generally enjoying a great spring here in the big city!

Sox, Play time, and More Brits!

Hey Pupsters -

Yes, I know...it's been a few days since my last blog. I have been a busy pup since my birthday!

Last weekend, Mom and Dad took me for some awesome play time on the snowmobile trail in North Conway. I got to run around off leash and catch the "chuckit" that mom kept throwing (sometimes of course I might add! hehe).
Monday was the annual Boston Marathon - and dad and his buddies made the annual pilgrimage to Fenway Park for the game. It sounds like they had a great time and the Sox pulled off a great win against the Texas Rangers.

Next up, Will Lowndes and his wife Sarah and son Freddie came to visit Boston. Dad went to boarding school with Will and Simon (who came to visit us last November). Dad took Will and Freddie over to Fenway Park to make sure they were sporting the latest Boston Red Sox cap. I, being stuck at home, just decided to chew on Dad's opening dad hat!

Dad and Will even made it to the Celtics playoff game the other night! The closest I get to the Boston Garden is Paul Revere Park where Mom, Dad and Will played ball with me for over an hour yesterday! There were all sorts of cool pups over there (except the one who STOLE my ball...what the pup?)

Mom and Dad have been showing the Lowndes the Boston sights including the Ducklings Statue over in the Boston Public Gardens. Freddie seems to love all things ducks, including the duck tour that his parents took him on earlier in the week. I heard everyone stopped off at Borders to get a copy of the duckling book and a stuffed duck. I am not exactly sure when I am going to have my picture taken by the ducks - or get my own stuffed duck! It seems like these Brits take top billing when they are in town!

Other than that, all is quiet this cool Sunday morning. Mom and Dad took me for a quick walk up to Finagle A Bagel. It should be a relaxing day.

The weather in Boston was fantastic all week! I even had a chance to have my picture taken by the daffodils with Mom. Don't we look great!

Hope everyone is having a pup weekend!

Happy Birthday Logan!!!! (And Pope Benedict XVI and Bill Belichick)

Hey Pupsters -

Well guess who is ONE YEARS OLD TODAY? Any guesses? Any guesses?

LOGAN OF COURSE! It was Patriot's Day last year when me the rest of the duckling gang arrived at Chivalry in Thompson, CT. A year later, I have seen the Red Sox win the World Series, the Patriots come close to winning the Super Bowl, the Celtics and Bruins in the playoffs, my first summer vacation, my first run on the golf course, my first change of seasons and fall foliage, my first snowfall, and my first PUPMAS! What a year it has been!

For my birthday, I received a few new toys including a cool elephant that is made with rope, a stuffed birthday cake that plays HAPPY BIRTHDAY at an incredibly high pitch, a "CHUCKIT", and some tasty treats. Dad had me pose with my "toy" cake, and some real cake that I couldn't have (it was made of chocolate) - but it seemed to put smiles on Mom and Dad's faces.

Thanks to all the pups for their birthday wishes. Oh, and in case you didn't hear, I share a birthday with POPE BENEDICT XVI and Patriot's Head Coach Bill Belicheck! Check out their cakes!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Viva Las LOGAN!

Hey Pupsters -
Hope everyone had a great weekend. We decided to stay in the big city as it was supposed to rain up in the mountains. Mom and Dad had my Grand PupParents Don and Carol over for diner. I, of course, was my cute puptastic self while they were here! Seems like everyone had a nice time, but for some reason I never got to taste any of the steak they had!

Last week I went to see my friends over at Toureen to get my pup cut. Boy, did I need a bath! I had my usual standard springer pup cut - and by late afternoon I was sporting a new Bandanna with DICE on it! How cool was this? Dad said I looked like I was ready to go to Las Vegas!

Las Vegas, I thought. Hmmmm. Sounds like a fun place. I know that Grand PupParents Fred and Carolyn go there...so I decided to do some research. I first went to AA.com to see how much it would pup to go to Las Vegas. Interestingly enough....what did I find? Well, that my mom and dad already have TICKETS booked to Las Vegas in June. Two pup class seats to Las Vegas.......So my question is....WHERE IS MY SEAT?

I am ready to go...perhaps a pup around the shops at Cesar's Palace.....check out the fountains at the Bellagio.....get a pup massage at Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian Hotel! I have my whole trip planned.

When I went to change the 2 pup class seats to 3.....it asked me for some kind of credit card! What the pup? DAD!? Where do I get a Pup American Express Card?

Lord Logan of Linderhof

Hi Pupsters -

Hope every pup is enjoying the sunny weather. I am waiting for my pup ride with Jordan and to go play with my pups, so I thought I would pup my blog a bit before he gets here.

Contrast the weather here to the weather up north! Lots and lots of snow still - although from what I read on pupweather.com, it looks like there should be some melting this week. How about this blog's pictures eh? Dad snapped the one of me looking out over the golf course on Sunday. How will people ever pup a round of golf out there? It will be AUGUST!

Mom took the other picture of Dad and I on this enormous SNOW PILE! This thing must be 30 feet high. I had alot of fun trying to figure out how to get up and down it! I definitely needed a pup bath after all that!

And speaking of pup baths, I had an extra day of walks as Dad was in Providence all day Monday and mom had something going on. Jordan came by and took me out....IN THE POURING RAIN. Oh boy, did I have fun. I ran in the mud, jumped all over my pups, and had a PUP MUD FIGHT! Little did mom know how muddy I was when she got home. I think she was a bit surprised to see how dirty I was.....so off to the tub I went. My first pup bath with mom!

Ok pupsters - Jordan is here. Time for me to hit the road.
