Enjoying Christmas Vacation

Hey Pupsters-

I am writing this blog on the couch with Dad as we are cheering the JETS on to win against the Dolphins. Now, my dad HATES the Jets, but from what I understand, we need Miami to lose for the Patriots to win the division! So hey, I can put on my green and white and root for Brett Farve and boys!

We are in NH and arrived here late Christmas Day. The snow is great - even though it got close to 50 degrees today! I loved all of my new pup toys. Pups out to Fred and Carolyn for their awesome gifts. I can't wait to the hit the river with my new Frisbee and boomerang this summer!

Aunt EE arrives sometime tomorrow to help us ring in the New Year. Mom and Dad have hit the slopes - and I have heard our friends Don, Nancy, and Nicholas are here as well.

Other than that, I am just enjoying having some down time. Dad shovelled the patio earlier, and I had a blast running around out there. I even jumped in the high snow banks, which came up over my legs! I just love the snow.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Santa Paws, Please Don't Pass My House!

Hey Pupsters -

All year, I have been, well, PUPTASTIC! I have been a great pup, doing what I am told, putting my pup toys away, and just being a good puppy.

However the other day, I did something naughty. Now, bear in mind, I was at Toureen Kennels for five days while my parents were pupping all over London. I hadn't been around my parents' smell in almost a week! So, when I went by dad's bathroom, I smelled something puptastic. It was so pup that I had to jump up on the bathroom vanity to have a look....AND THERE IT WAS! Not one, but TWO plastic things that smelled like my dad. MMMMMmmmmmmm. Can life get any better?

So with no one looking, I grabbed the two plastic things and decided to chew them in the bedroom. Now, while I was having all this fun, dad was working away on his laptop. When he got up and saw what I was doing, he became very unhappy. I still don't know what made him upset, but he was saying something about Invisalign. I have no idea what that means, but let me tell you these plastic things were better than any bully stick I have ever had.

Judging from my dad's face when he returned from the dentist, I figured out I did something naughty... something $195 naughty apparently when I looked at the bill!

Santa Paws, I am very sorry for this momentary indiscretion. Please forgive me. I will leave extra bully sticks and other treats if you still come by my house.

Happy the Brits Let My Parents Come Home!

Hey Pupsters -

Mom and Dad made it back from their trip across the pond, and I got to come home yesterday. I was so excited to see my dad when he picked me up at Toureen Kennels yesterday! He looked a bit jet lagged, but nonetheless, I was ready to get back to Charlestown!

Today I got to meet up with my pups at playgroup. I was worried that Dad wasn't going to let me go as it was raining out, and I just got groomed. Sometimes I get a bit dirty when I go out to play with the pups. However, Jordan came by the house, and I had a blast.

Now, I gave a list of shopping items for Mom and Dad to get me - and although I have only spotted a new stuffed dog in a Santa hat in my stocking, I am optimistic that Santa Pup might have picked up a few things for me at Harrods!

From looking at Dad's Facebook page, it seems like they had a great time. Mom said I would be quite the pup in England and wishes that I could have come along. Ah yes, strolling along Oxford and Bond Streets, pupping around Hyde Park and Marble Arch, and even having a pint of water at the local pub/pup!

Thanks to Dad's friends: Simon, Will, Baz and their respective spouses, and to John and Clare Evans - They were great hosts and I know Mom and Dad truly enjoyed their trip!

My British Pup List

Hey Pupsters -

Well, another week has come and gone and I am back hanging out at mom's feet while she is knitting and I am working on the blog. Dad was in Dallas this week and hence the lack of blogs. That, and the fact that Dad seems to be a Facebook addict, has kept the laptop away from my paws!

Last week, in typical Jones tradition, we put up the Christmas trees! Yes - two trees! One for New Hampshire and one for Boston. I love them both! We have lots of pup ornaments including a few springer spaniels like me!

Next week, Mom and Dad are off to London - and while I am still holding out hope, I still haven't found the "pupclass" section of their 777 airplane. I am still working on it though.

As a backup, I have given Mom and Dad a pup list for their trip overseas:

1. A Big Ben Chew Toy
2. A bowl with the Queen on it
3. A tea flavored bully stick

If anyone has other ideas, shoot me a pupmail. I am putting this list in Dad's bag before I head to pup camp next week!

Other than that, life is good. Mom took me for a great walk around Linderhof this afternoon. It sounds like they had a great time skiing this afternoon, and are getting ready to hit the Red Parka Pub.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Enjoying Thanksgiving

Hi Pupsters -

Happy Thanksgiving! I am having a pup time here in the White Mountains with Mom and Dad. Earlier today, they took me over to Attitash where there is TONS of snow! Off the leash I went - and was able to run full speed around the ski resort! It was puptastic!

Mom and Dad are heading over to the Thorne Hill Inn later this afternoon to have Thanksgiving Dinner. I hope a doggie bag will be in my future. Mom is making some appetizers as we speak (those yummy sausage balls) to have something to snack on while we watch the Dog Show on TV! I think we missed the sporting group though...

Last night, I was watching the Barbara Walter's interview of President Elect Obama. At the end, Barbara was suggesting that a dog like her "Cha-Cha" should make a home in the White House? CHA CHA? Are you pupping me??? Now, I think a springer would be quite a first dog. Don't you agree?

Mom and Dad have been planning their agenda for their upcoming trip to London in a few weeks. Dad actually got an email from his housemaster, John Evans, who wants to take Mom and Dad for lunch while they are there. I haven't seen a ticket for your pup hero - but I am continuing to monitor the situation. I think I would look puptastic in London!

Life is good - and I have lots to be thankful for this year: a loving Mom and Dad, toys, walks, and playing with my pups!

I hope everyone is having a great day with the ones you pup!

Pup Static!

Hey Pupsters -

Well, it has been another great, albeit cold weekend here in New Hampshire. Yesterday was quite the busy day as Mom and Dad moved all their ski stuff back into their locker at the Attitash Base Lodge. They are blowing snow like crazy over there - and with the cold temperatures, the mountain should be covered in no time!

Speaking of cold temperatures, the air has been a bit PUP DRY up here in the mountains. You can see from my picture that I am having a bit of a static issue with my hair!

So let's see, what have we been up to? Yesterday, the Framed Art Store released this year's "Ski Poster". Each year, a local artist, creates a new "antique" ski poster. Dad has been collecting these for years, and we had space for ONE MORE at the ski house. The owner of the store was on RSN (Resort Sports Network) and was giving a framed poster away for answering a trivia concert. Dad, who is no stranger to call in contests, was the first to get through! Unfortunately, dad decided to change his answer at the last minute, and well, the free poster faded away! You know what they say Dad, always go with your first answer!
Nonetheless, Mom and Dad stopped by the store and bought the poster and got to meet the artist, Diane Mello. Mom also did some Christmas shopping for her dad at another local store in the village. And speaking of Christmas, Dad decided to pull out the Christmas tree from the closet! I love when we put the tree up! Can't wait till we get to put the one up at home!

Other than that, we are doing some laundry and watching the Pats before we head back to town! The weekend is just too short!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Finally Friday!

Hey Pupsters -

Ah yes, Friday. I am sitting on mom's lap as I write tonight's blog from New Hampshire. It is cold here - but the sky is clear and I have never seen so many stars in the sky!

It was a good week all in all. I got to hang out with my pups at playgroup while Mom and Dad had a busy week at "the firm". Attitash opens tomorrow, so I think Mom and Dad will take their first runs of the ski season. Next week is Thanksgiving (where is that gobbling turkey toy?) - and I am looking forward to some R&R.

Other than that, all is good.

Have a Pup Weekend!

Dogbook on a Sunday Afternoon

Hey Pupsters -

So, Logan has finally jumped four paws into cyberspace by creating his own "Dogbook" Page. Now I can update all my pups with my status, leave pup comments for all my friends, and post even more puptastic pictures! How about them pups?

Dad is back from his week in Southern California and it is great to have him home. I got to go to Toureen yesterday to get a bath and a pup cut, and I must say, I am looking puptastic. Other than that, we are taking it easy around Boston today. Mom and Dad went to see the new James Bond movie last night. I heard Dad say it was high on action low on plot....whatever that means!

It should be a good week as both Mom and Dad are around - and Thanksgiving is around the corner. I am ready for a few days off up at the Ski House. Come to think of it....dad, where is my gobbling turkey toy??????????

A Rainy Weekend in NH

Hey Pupsters -

Just pupping here on the couch at the ski house. The weather has been less than puptastic, but I certainly enjoyed having Robert and Kathy around for the weekend. Robert was racing in the Porky Gultch Classic which is why they were up in NH. They were great as they let me sit all over them!

Kathy and Robert were just back from their honeymoon in San Fransico. During their visit to Napa Valley, they picked up a bottle of "Kennel Relaxn" - some faux pup wine that makes a great squeaking noise. How cool is that? They brought Mom and Dad some Ravenswood, and a bottle of pup wine for your pup truly! Thanks Robert and Kathy!

Everyone did the traditional visit to the Red Park Pub - only to be followed by dinner at the Inn at Thorn Hill. Mom and Dad made reservations to go back for Thanksgiving. Can't wait!

Dad is off to Southern California this week, so I get extra pup walks with Jordan. Looks like it will be me and mom holding down the fort in Boston.

Hope all the pups had a puptastic weekend!

Pups for President!

Happy Election Day Pupsters -

While I am not an officially registered pup, Mom and Dad cast their votes earlier today. Mom went at the crack of dawn when the line went around the block. Dad had a little better luck at 4pm when he got back from Providence.

Looks like New England has gone to Barack O'Pupma, but the night is still young. Nonetheless, I think they should have put a pup on the ticket! Wouldn't that be a hoot! Think about the pup platform:

-- A bully stick rebate to all pups!

-- More play time to get our minds off the economy!

-- Pupcare for all pups!

-- Pupwalks all the time!

Check out this site that covers all the pups who have made it to the Pup House!

Hope all the pups got out and voted and regardless of your party, hope everyone had a pup day!

Pupping Time at the Pupitentiary

Hey Pupsters-

Hope all the pups had a great Halloween! Your pup here was a pup prisoner - stripes and all! The back of my prisoner outfit had my personal pup number...which ended with I B A K 9. Very clever don't you pup?

Outside of the Halloweeen events, I had a great weekend. Grand Pupparents Carolyn and Fred sent me some Halloween pup bucks, so Mom and Dad went to Four Your Paws Only to pick me up a few treats including bully sticks, a stuffed moose, and this round thing that I have to work at to get the treats out! Thanks Fred and Carolyn for thinking of this pup this Halloween!

I heard there was a new SPRINGER PUP at playgroup named Benson! He is liver and white and 13 weeks old. I hope I get to meet him next week!

Last night, I got in touch with my "emotional" side as I cuddled up with mom on the couch and watched the Sex in City Movie. What a great guy my dad is for turning over the TV for two hours!

Today we went for a big hike along Town Hall Rd. It is right in the heart of the White Mountains - and I just love running full speed! There was even some water that I decided to jump into despite Mom and Dad saying NO! Brrrrrrr....it was a little chilly but after all, I am a springer. If there is water, I will find it!

Needless to pup, I was very dirty after our walk - so I hit the shower before coming home. Mom couldn't believe how much dirt and sand was in the tub! Hehehehe!

I enjoyed the extra hour of pup sleep last night. Other than that, I am getting ready for a new week!

Yappy Hour!

Hey Pupsters -

Well, it's been a relaxing Sunday. Mom and Dad had a pup time at Kathy and Robert's wedding last night.

Before they went out, they took me on a pupabout in the Navy Yard. We had sandwiches at the American Baker's Cafe - and then headed over to Paul Revere Park for Yappy Hour! Yes, Yappy Hour - the time when all my pup friends came out to play! Today's blog picture is a Maltese named Presley settling in for serious Yappy Hour time!

I had a great time playing fetch - and Mom and Dad we very impressed with my "COME" and "DROP". What do you expect from your pup hero??????

We didn't get to go to Yappy Hour today, but I am hoping that perhaps tomorrow. I did enjoy watching Matt Cassell and the Pats beat the Rams today. Looking pretty pup my boys!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

A Pup Amongst the Mums

Hey Pupsters -

Happy Friday! Normally I would have my pup bag packed and ready to head north, but this weekend your pup hero is staying in Boston. Mom and Dad are going to
Robert and Kathy's wedding this weekend over in Brookline. So we are all looking forward to some down time around the city.

The weather today is quite puptastic: mild, sunny and no clouds. However it looks like some cool temperatures are on the way. Not soon enough for my dad as he has had the Warren Miller ski movies running on the flat screen. He just got the newest one on DVD called PLAYGROUND! You should see the smile on his face!

This pup isn't quite ready for the snow - although Jackson, NH got a couple of inches the other day! Crazy eh!

Mom and Dad went to Tavern on the Water last night for dinner. Before they went, Dad and I went on a Pupabout around the Navy Yard. That's when out of nowhere they found me! The Puparazzi! Can't a pup just go about his business?

I decided that it was futile for me to run away - and since I left my sunglasses back at the house, it was just easier to pose for them! Hence, my pictures amongst the mums. This is right by our house as you walk along the Harborwalk. I must say, I do look smashing!

Other than that, all is quiet. The stock market is making dad crazy - as I am sure everyone else. If this keeps up, dad might make me get a JOB!

Well, Bodie Miller is now on the ski film. "Having an enjoyable life is my number one goal" he says! Hmmmmmm....pretty good for a ski racer!

Red Sox Sadness

Hi Pupsters -

Well, it is finally over. My boys have packed it up and called it a year. I mean, they did come back and win two games in a row, but last night they came up one short. The boys of summer have called it a season, and my buddies Jeremy Remy and Don Orsillo will have a few months off till they head back to Florida for spring training.

Even my British buddies Simon and Will sent my dad an email from across the pond sending their condolences! Thanks lads!

So as I sit on the pupottoman, I look back at a good season that just came up short.

Until next spring boys!

Go Phillies!

I Love You Red Sox, BUT.......

Morning Pupsters.........er, I mean afternoon! After staying up late last night, I don't know what time it is!

So, it's that time of year again. The Red Sox are in the playoffs, fighting for their lives, and I am losing out on valuable pup sleep.

I mean, after all, I was prepared for the Sox's season to end last night. I had already moved on.... and thoughts of the boys of summer had already changed to thoughts of the Boston Garden, the Celtics, and the Bruins. In fact, I think Dad had moved on as well, as he was watching another exciting program on Nat Geo (Something about the Milau Viaduct in France...where ever that is!)

Mom went to bed around 10pm. She came out to check on us around 11:30pm thinking that Dad and I fell asleep on the couch! Not a chance! The Sox rally had begun, and Dad and I were going to tough it out!

What can a pup say? It is just unpupbelievable! So, the Red Sox World Series flag will hang for another weekend at the ski house while our pups head back to Florida. Thankfully it's the weekend, and we can sleep in if the next game goes into the wee hours.

Good Luck SOX! My pups are crossed!

Logan Heads Home to Boston with the Girls!

Leaf Peeping, Christmas Card Pictures and Hiking Wildcat Mountain

Hey Pupsters-

Happy Columbus Day! I am not sure who this Columbus person was, but I certainly like his fall weekend in the White Mountains. Dad and I came up early and Aunt EE and Mom got up very late Friday night. Nonetheless, they arrived in time to watch the Red Sox get their first win against the Rays (we won't talk about last night's game!)

Most of yesterday was dedicated to the annual Christmas Card Picture. Of course, Mom and Dad had on Christmas sweaters and it was nearly 70 degrees out. After 300 photos later all over town, I think they may have taken one that will work. Phew! I was EXHAUSTED. All of this posing! I was a bit less than cooperative. After all, when you live your life with cameras clicking all the time, the last thing you want to do on the weekend is look at a camera!

Today, we went on a hike. We went over by the Tuckerman's side of Mt Washington, and took a fun walk down to Glen Ellis Falls! It was PUPTASTIC. All along the way, people were telling me that I looked puptastic. What else is new?

Then Dad decided to take us over to Wildcat Mountain. We rode to Gondola all the way to the top! That's over 4000 pups! I loved my first official Gondola ride! Uncle Jay would be so happy!

Once at the top, dad got the brilliant idea to hike DOWN Wildcat. Of course, dad was in hiking attire and had on the right footwear. Aunt EE on the other hand.....not so much! I had a ball running down the mountain. There were lots of rocks and water for me to play in! After an hour or so, Mom, Dad, Aunt EE and I all made it to back to the base lodge.

After a quick trip to Jackson Village for some sandwiches at J Town deli, we returned home for a quick bath. Along the way, dad and I stop by to see the Yankee Pumpkin People! They were showing what they were up to since they weren't going to the playoffs this year!

Mom and I then loaded up EE's car and headed home. Dad stayed at the ski house tonight as he is heading to Portland Maine for a couple days tomorrow!

So all in all, another great weekend. Summer has come and gone, and fall is well underway. I love all color on the trees because it means that WINTER and SKI SEASON is almost here!

Stuck Between Beer and a Fan - and Feeling Mavericky!

Hey Pupsters -

Happy Sunday. After a three week hiatus, we spent the weekend up north. My pup! Last time I was there it was SUMMER! This weekend certainly felt LIKE FALL. The leaves are just at peak color, the days are much shorter, and the air has a pup of a chill in it.

We spent yesterday doing a bunch of errands. Mom went on a planting binge, buying new mums for the ski house and for home not to mention a few pumpkins.

While at Lowes, Dad picked up a new standing fan as the one at home in the bedroom finally died. Dad has to have air blowing on him all the time even in winter. A bit pup, I know! Do you know how hard it is to find a FAN after the summer season????????

After the trip to Lowes, we made a stop at Four Your Paws Only. We were a bit low on PUP food plus I wanted to go to puppy hour. Of course Jenn and all the girls commented on how pup my haircut was. I had a pup time with all my pals!

Last night we picked up some pizzas at Flatbreads in town. Boy, I did alot of errands in the car now that I think of it! Mom and Dad enjoyed their pizza as well as the Saturday Night Live skit with Tina Fey! Apparently she is feeling "mavericky". Not sure what that means but it sounds PUP!

Today we loaded up the car and I must say there wasn't alot of room for your favorite pupster. I was in between a case of Harpoon Beer (dad's favorite for the Patriots' Game) and the new fan. What the pup?

Thankfully there wasn't much traffic and we made it home in 2.5 hours. But after being in the car for awhile and not much exercise, I must say I am feeling a bit Mavericky myself!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

RAIN!

Hi Pupsters -

Well, I am hanging out here in the big city as it continues to RAIN! Now, normally, I love playing in the wet weather. After all, I love puddles, rivers, lakes, oceans, and generally any other body of water! Needless to say, Mom and Dad don't exactly share my enthusiasm. Heck, they should just put a on rain coat and take me to the park!

It has been a quiet weekend. Mom cooked her famous beef tips last night which looked very yummy. We watched the movie "What Happens in Vegas..." afterwards which was quite pup. I watched it on the couch with Mom. I think Dad has a crush on Cameron Diaz, but since she isn't planning to come back to Boston anytime soon, I think things are safe!

The good thing about staying in town is that we don't have the 2.5 hr car ride on Sunday. But with the Patriots off today and the Red Sox already in the playoffs, I'm not sure what the afternoon holds.

PLAYOFF BOUND! MY PUPS! PUPTASTIC!

Gone by the Dark of Night and Postcards from Abroad

Hi Pupsters -

Well the Edge of Darkness movie folks moved out nearly as quick as they moved in. Gone this morning were the trucks, lights, helicopters, police, and general random people. Your pupster didn't make the film - but we'll give it a shot when the next one comes to town!

I pupped up the mail this am, and noticed we got a postcard from Aunt EE - that came all the way from ITALY! I am going to have to google that - but it sounds far away! EE tells us she has been hiking, cooking, and sampling some great wine! She mentions that she even is painting some pottery and then heading to Florence for the weekend! MY PUP! What a trip. Can't wait for her to come home and visit us up in NH. She has Christmas Card picture duty this year! Oh the joy!

Other than that, I went to play group today. Dad tried to click a couple of photos of me and pups. As always, it was a puptime! Dad told Jordan that his van smelled of ...well...DOGS! Come on Dad! Of course it smells like Dogs!

Off for a bite to eat, and then a nap. I am pupped out!

A Pat on the Head from the PA but no Mel Gibson - YET!

Hey Pupsters -

Greetings from Puppywood! The Navy Yard is CRAZED with the movie Edge of Darkness filming RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE! The trucks, the people, the police - IT'S CRAZY. Thanks to Governor Patrick for giving all the tax breaks to the movie companies! (Ok - no pup-politics on this blog!)

Yesterday, Grand Pupparents Carol and Don stopped by and took my dad to Figs for dinner. Carol suggested that Dad and I get up at 3am and go stroll the set! Now, for those who know my dad, he doesn't get up at 3am for ANYTHING!

Hence Dad and I went for a walk first thing around 7 am hoping that Mel might see how puptastic I am and invite me over for a walk on role. Much to my dismay, I only got to meet a Production Assistant as she was getting a cup of coffee from the catering truck. She actually played with me for a couple of minutes while I tried to impress her! After a few licks, she was on her way!

Wait a minute! Where's Mel? How do I get on that helicopter? Don't you need a PUP in this film?

More breaking details to follow!
