Hey Pupsters -
So, this past Tuesday was Mardi Gras! FAT TUESDAY! I love the concept. Eat lots, hang out with your pups, have free stuff thrown at you.....I think everyday should be Puppy Gras! I actually googled Puppy Gras, and what did I find? IT ACTUALLY EXISTS. Check out the pups below - looks like a puptastic time!
According to my dad, he and a number of his British and College buddies made the annual trip to New Orleans in his younger days. Maybe I will make the trip someday!
I have been having a bit of a Puppy Gras this week with 4 days at play group! In fact, I am pupped out as I type today's blog! My pups and I have been hitting the Fellsway - and even found a brook to run through! Needless to say, dad was less than pupimpressed since I just had bath! But you know us springers, if there is water, we will find it!
Much of the snow is gone in the big city, but I hear there was a DUMPING of snow up north last weekend. In fact, we left North Conway early to beat it. Can't wait till we head up tomorrow. And speaking of tomorrow, our friends Kathy and Robert will be back again, as they are looking at a condo up there FOR THE SECOND TIME! Will a contract be the next step? I hope so - as I'd love to have them as neighbors this summer. It would be great to have them take me down to the Ellis River for some serious river fetch!
Hope everyone is had a great week!

Chasing Skiers and Happy Birthday Dad
Hey Pupsters -
Happy President's Day. Just back from a long weekend up north - and I had a puptastic time with Kathy and Robert, who made their 6th visit back to the Mount Washington Valley. Word on the street is that they are looking to buy a house near mine up there. It will be puptastic to have them as neighbors!
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday - and we celebrated by going on a snowshoe tour over at Bear Notch. It was fun - and I LOVED running off leash - and chasing the cross country skiers as they went by. I even saw another springer spaniel on the trails. Another family came up to me to say they thought I was SMALL compared to their springer. After a few pups, I figured out their dog was a FIELD Springer! No pup he is bigger!
I am back in Boston - but I am happy to think this will be a short week!
Happy Birthday Dad and Happy President's day!

A Chip Off the Old Stump
Hey Pupsters!
What a night! Hope everyone was able to take in all the pup action at Westminster last night. While I was cheering for "Stanley", a Sussex Spaniel named Stump beat him out for the Best in the Sporting Group - only to go on to take the BIG PRIZE.
Stanley, who actually was bred with my sister Journey (Journey and I have the same pup parents!), had a great showing in the ring. In today's photo, you can see I was enjoying his showmanship. However, the Sussex Spaniel stole the hearts at Madison Square Garden.
As you may have read, Stump is the OLDEST winner at Westminster at 10 years old (that's 70 PEOPLE YEARS!) He left the show ring back in 2004 and nearly died from a mysterious disease, but was saved by the doctors at Texas A&M. What a story!
While I was pupping for Stanley, I am happy that another spaniel took the big prize. And since my dad went to school in West Sussex, England, how fitting that a Sussex Spaniel came out on top!

February is for PUPPERs!
Hey Pupsters -
The month of January is FINALLY behind us - and now we have February to look forward to...Valentine's Day, my dad's birthday, and WESTMINSTER! Can you believe it is time for the pups to show their stuff in New York City again? According to my grand pup-parent Fred, "my tribe" isn't on until tomorrow. I suppose he is referring to the sporting pups! It should be a good show!
We spent the weekend up north, and mom got to hit the slopes now that she is out of her cast. I can tell that despite enjoying having pup time with yours truly, she was getting a bit of what we call - cabin fever here in New England. And speaking of cabin fever, your pup is getting some himself. Dad even sent me off for an extra day of playgroup today. Before I started my blog, I was running around the house at full speed playing with this Red Sox Bat that sings "LET'S GO RED SOX". Clearly, mom is trying to get some work done, and I was not helping the cause.
Hope everyone is off to a great week! The days are getting longer - and hopefully spring won't be too far away!
