Halloween and Remembering a Friend

Hey Pupsters -

Been a while since I have had a chance to do some pup blogging! However, hopefully most of my pup fans have been following me on Twitter - Springerlogan is my account!

Well, another Halloween has come and gone. Pups out to Fred and Carolyn, my Texas Grand Pup Parents, who sent me a Halloween Card along with some Pup Bucks! Dad made a run to Four Your Paws Only and picked me up a few new bully sticks, and a RIDICULOUS Halloween costume! I mean, I have been a lobster, a Red Sox fan, a prisoner, and now, in case there wasn't enough embarrassment, A TURTLE! A TURTLE? What? Do I look SLOW? Clearly people haven't seen me play ball lately - as I am NO TURTLE.

Well, Mom and Dad got the costume on me for about...oh a pup minute! I hated the hood thing. Actually, I hated all of it! Dad said he just needed a picture to send into his work's Halloween slide show. UGH! Nonetheless, Halloween was fun despite the turtle episode.

On another note today, November 3rd, marks the 3rd anniversary of the loss of my Uncle Grigs! The picture below is him. He unfortunately became sick and left my Mom and Dad three years ago today. I never got to meet Uncle Grigs, but his memory lives on in pictures throughout the house - and even some of his left over toys! His ashes remain at the ski house in NH. I heard he loved it up there!

So today, I give a pup out to Uncle Grigs!

I hope all the pupsters are well!

Fall Foliage and Leaf Puppers!

Hey Puspters -

Greetings from NH. Dad and I came up early to get ahead of the Columbus Day crowd. Mom joins us tomorrow! I must say, the valley looks great with all the red, orange, and yellow leaves! I just love this time of year! It just smells like fall outside!

Speaking of outside, Dad and I played ball in the backyard tonight before it got dark (and boy it is getting dark early these days!) Unfortunately, Dad threw my tennis ball a bit too far, and off ledge it went....to the Ellis River below! I was smart enough not to follow that foul ball!

And speaking of foul balls, how in the world am I going to be able to stay up and root my Red Sox onto victory? Yikes! I might be under the covers before this one ends tonight!

Other than that, I am happy to have some pup time! It should be a busy weekend up here with all the leaf peepers coming through this Columbus Day weekend.

Before we know it, I will be pupping in the snow again! Until then...

How is it Sunday Already?

Hey Pupsters -

Hope everyone is pup! Had a nice weekend up north. While Dad was at his board meeting, Mom stopped by Four Your Paws Only for a couple of bully sticks and a few new toys! I guess I have been a good pup lately! It was a quick weekend. The weather is definitely getting cooler in the White Mountains, and the days are getting shorter. I think it is going to be a GREAT foliage season. Lots of rain this year and cool nights make for a great color recipe.

As I am typing this blog, I can't believe it is already dark out at 7:00pm and that tomorrow is MONDAY again. Mom and Dad both have a busy week - so I don't think I am going to get much playtime with them. Good thing I have Jordan coming to take me out with my pups!

Other than that, I am going to sit by Mom as she reads the new Dan Brown book! She looks really into it.

Have a good week!

Summer I hardly knew ye...

Hey Pupsters -

Well, it's Labor Day Weekend! Where in the pup did the summer go? It just seems like yesterday that Mom and Dad were painting the window boxes, planting geraniums, herbs, and tomatoes, and getting the ski house ready for summer!

So here we are...at the unofficial end of summer. I will say, September has just been puptastic so far. Warm days and cool nights. We drove up to NH last night to get ahead of the traffic. Before going to bed, Dad made the mistake of leaving the WINDOWS open..... At 2am I was giving him the paw....not to go out, but to CLOSE the WINDOW!

Not much on the agenda for this weekend. I did get another trip in to Durty Harry's, the neighborhood dog wash place in Charlestown. It is great! A nice big pup whirlpool, lots of shampoo for Dad to use, and even a pup dryer, something I just LOVE! They have great toys in the place and they are even going to order my special California Natural Dog Food! How is that for Pupster Service!

It's lunch time now...Mom is making some sun tea and Dad is prepping for his last conference call of the day. This pup is going to enjoy every last minute of this last weekend of summer!

Hope all the pups have a great Labor Day Weekend.

Oh Where Oh Where Has Logan Gone....

Hey Pupsters -

Remember me? - Your friendly, neighborhood, PUP! Yes, I know - I have been away from the keyboard, but that doesn't mean things have been quiet around here! For those who follow my tweets, you know that I have had an action packed summer. From playtime at Paul Revere Park (this Paul guy sounds kind of cool to me, I'd like to meet him!) to swimming in the Ellis River, this springer has been pupbusy!

This weekend, we are taking a break from heading north, and instead are HEADING SOUTH! Mom and Dad have a function in Providence Saturday night...and guess what? I AM GOING WITH THEM! No trip to puppy camp! I have been such a good pup on all our car trips, Dad got us a suite at the Residence Inn that ALLOWS pups! Ah yes, this pup is traveling PUP CLASS with Mom and Dad. I hear the beds are EXTRA COMFY. I can't wait.

On Sunday, I understand that we are going to Newport. The ocean, sailboats, and great food await this pup! I am hoping to stroll the Mansions on Bellevue Ave and maybe even pup over to the Cliff Walk.

I am bringing along my iPup, so I can tweet and send pictures. Keep an eye on Logan's Express for all the fun!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Pupping on Friday!

Hey Pupsters -

It's Friday and you know what that means? I am back up in New Hampshire, despite a driving rain. Dad took it slow and had the fog lights on, so all us pups made it up safe and sound.

It was a busy week. Mom and Dad went to the Red Sox Game with Dad's brother and nephew, as well as Grand Pup Parent Don. Judging from the pictures, it looks like everyone had a great time. I just want to know when I am going to get to go - and meet my idol Wally?

I had lots of fun with Jordan this week. In addition, Mom and Dad took me up to Paul Revere Park after dinner several times this week for some more ball playing. I am getting really good at playing fetch! There are all sorts of pups up there at the park, and I enjoyed our trips up there!

I have been wanting to go swimming in the river this summer, but with all this rain, the Ellis River is RAGING! Dad won't let me go in for fear of me getting washed away to lower Conway!

It looks like tomorrow should be a nice day. We will see.

Dad is off to Portland next week, and my friend EE will be joining us up at the ski house! Can't wait!

Have a great weekend!

Summer? Hello, Come in Please!

Hey Pupsters -

Well, I was watching the news this morning, and they said we are going to have the longest stretch of sunny weather of the SUMMER so far! It sure has been a long time in coming for this pup!

I am back in the big city after a weekend up North. The weather was great both Saturday and Sunday, but did we have some thunderstorms come through Saturday night! I didn't like those at all!

The Tall Ships are gone, but I did enjoying pupping around the neighborhood taking in the sites. Mom and Dad even took a picnic up there and had a fun time on Thursday night!

Not much else is new - the SUNSHINE is the big report for Logan's Express today.

Hope everyone has a pup week!

The Pup is Back! Happy 2nd Birthday Logan's Express

Hey Pupsters -

Yep, 2 years and counting for Logan's Express! Hard to believe I know!

Just got back from Pup Camp as Mom and Dad were in Dallas for the big Megan Aebi Wedding! From looking at all the pictures on Facebook, it looks like everyone had a great time.

Dad told me that many people came up to him at the wedding to say they follow this pup's adventures on Logan's Express. Here is a shout out to all my pup fans who were in Dallas over the weekend. Hope you guys are staying cool down there.

It should be a short week with Mom and Dad taking a couple of days off to celebrate the 4th of July. Looking forward to relaxing with them - and maybe even getting in some ball playing.

For now, I am just happy to be home!

A Word from a Proud Pup Dad

Hi Friends of the Pupsters -

Logan's Dad here. I hijacked Logan's laptop while he was sleeping to make a note that tomorrow, June 15th, marks two years since Logan joined our family. Misty and I drove to Thompson, CT to pick up our little black and white friend on June 15th, 2007.

I am sure all followers of this blog have picked up how much joy this little guy has brought Misty and I. He joined us after the lost of our first springer spaniel, Grigsby, in November 2006. Grigsby lived with us through some of the happiest moments of our life: our first jobs, our move to Boston, our first home, and our many ski seasons. After Grigsby left us, I didn't know what we would do.

Then comes our friend and breeder Lisa Knight! And the rest is history! Just looking at Logan puts a smile on my face everyday!

Logan's anniversary with us has reminded me how quickly time passes, and to take time to enjoy everything life has to offer: an open window in the car, a run around the Navy Yard, a hike with Jordan and the pups, or just falling asleep with his Mom.

Thanks to everyone who follows Logan! I know he enjoys working on his blog (and the occasional tweet on Twitter as well!)

As Logan would say.......

Another Weekend has Come and Pupped!

Hey Pupsters -

Can you believe it is Sunday again? Where did the weekend go? I had a nice time up north. All of Mom's planting, herbs and the like are growing like crazy. In fact, I am feeling very pup optimistic about our tomatoes this year! Check them out!

Yesterday Dad had a board meeting that went 4 hours! Can you pup it? A 4 hour property association meeting! No Red Parka Pub time for dad! While Dad was out, Mom took me for a hike. However, it may not have been the best idea since it had rained on the trail for over 3 days! Lots of mud for your pup hero to explore. But then the black flies came out in force, and this pup WAS DONE with hiking for the day!

Back at the ski house, I had to take a bath with MOM since Dad still wasn't home. I was a mess! But thankfully, we had lots of pup shampoo!

We had a relaxing morning since it was POURING rain again. No chasing golf balls for Mom and Dad!

I just finished my dinner and Dad took me for a walk around the harbor. It is cool and breezy, but I enjoyed the smell of the salt air and watching the sailboats go past.

Dad is off to meetings in Rhode Island till Wednesday. Looks like lots of Mom time this week!

Hope everyone had a pup weekend!

Catching up

Hey Pupsters -

Been a while since I have had a chance to catch up on the blog. Hopefully many of you have been following me on Twitter! I love tweeting! It's takes less time than pupping a blog, and it is "real time".

Nonetheless, life has been busy for your pupster. Mom is working in Cincinnati this week, so Dad and I are holding down the fort. Not sure where the summer weather is since it has been cool, cloudy, and even RAINY the past few days! I thought June was supposed to be summer! I have hardly had to run the pup-conditioning!

Other notes of interest:

- I have really been enjoying the new patio at the ski house. Our neighbor liked it so much that he is putting THE SAME ONE in as well! It should look rather puptastic when it is all done.

- My uncle Brian sent me a picture of my cousin Ellis which I have posted on today's blog. Mom bought him a cool new outfit and gave it to him when everyone was in Eleuthera a few weeks ago. I hope Ellis makes it up to Boston. I'd like to pup him around!

- Mom and Dad have been back into the golf thing again. I don't know, chasing around a small white ball all day.....actually, now that I think about it, that sounds like fun!

- Mom and Dad celebrated 13 years of marriage on Monday. Dad bought Mom here own Ipod Touch so she can keep up with everyone and their Facebook breaks! Dad grilled some great kabobs on the grill, and kicked off the night with some nice flowers and prosecco with strawberries. Nice job Dad! Check it out below!

Well, we are half way through the week! Can't wait till Friday!

A Great Weekend but Now Getting Ready for Pup Camp!

Hey Pupsters-

Hope everyone had a PUP Memorial Day weekend! I sure did. We had a couple of nice days and a few showers, but all in all, it was great to stretch the paws up north again.

The guys from Limmer Landscaping finished our brick patio and I must say, it looks PUPTASTIC! I know I am going to enjoy sitting out there this summer! We also have a new sliding glass door being installed so mom can actually CLOSE the screen door and keep the bugs out of the house. Those BUGS find mom as attractive as I do!

Kathy and Robert are all settled into their place across the 5th Green from us. They did a great job transforming a place that was a bit on the tired side. NO MORE! Congrats to them for a job well done!

I am getting ready to head to pup camp for a few days while Mom and Dad go to Eleuthera for my Uncle Colin's Wedding. How in the world do you get to Eleuthera I ask? I don't think Jordan's comfy minivan can get me there. What do you think?

So that is it from Beantown. The weather is a bit of a downer right now - gray and cloudy. Hopefully we will start to get some summer temperatures soon!

Best to all the PUPS!

Another week of Pup!

Hey Pupsters -

Sorry, I have been a bit behind on my blog. Things have been crazy around this place. Just got back from the groomers, and I must say, I look smashing. Mom and Dad took me for a walk along the harbor last night, and everyone kept saying what a handsome pup I was! I think Dad gets embarrassed by this as it happens at least 5 times or more when we walk around the neighborhood.

I am watching the Red Sox as they are beating the Yankees right now. Dad is being nice by letting me sit next to him while he is working on his self assessment for work. Perhaps I need to write my own pup assessment. When is my annual review Dad? Am I getting a cost of pup adjustment this year? How about a raise on the pup allowance? I'll have my pups call your pups!

In other news, I went to the grand reopening of the new Four Your Paws Only in North Conway! This place was UBERPUP! A wall of bully sticks, a pup play area, and a whole pup ice cream bar highlighted the trip! I LOVED the PUP Ice Cream. I told Dad that he has to get some more so that I can enjoy it when he and mom enjoy their DQ Blizzards after summertime dinners!

This weekend, Kathy and Robert are back up north working on their place. Can't wait till they are all done! The golf course was looking quite green, and I know Dad is hoping to get out to the driving range.

Hope all the pups are doing great this week!

Wine - ing around town!

Hi Pupsters from the Mt Washington Valley!

It is 80 degrees and I am on the patio with Mom and Dad as I write today's blog. The weather is absolutely PUPTASTIC - and this is one pup who is ready from SUMMER! I hear Dad has burgers for the grill and a fire pit in store for us tonight! Ahhhhhh. A slice of heaven if you ask me.

Mom and Dad went into town and checked out a new wine bistro/shop called Wine Thyme. Sounds likes it'a a great place to eat - as well as a great place to pick up the odd wine gifts. They were even doing a wine tasting with some "green" wine from Argentina. It was in a biodegradable package that was yellow and blue (which of course makes GREEN!) Not sure this one is going to make Wine Connoisseur magazine, but it certainly is a conversation piece!

In other news, Dad received a call from Will and Simon at a pup (err...I mean PUB) in London last night. Dad was in the grocery store at the time! Sounds like the lads were having a fun night out on the town. I hope they come to visit again soon!

Other than that, the sun tea is brewing, the IPhone is playing music, and everyone is having a relaxing day. I love winter - but it is nice to see the sun, grass, and warm weather again.

Hope all the pups are getting outside today.

New Pups on the Block

Hey Pupsters -

Just back from a great weekend up North. My friends Kathy and Robert closed on their condo, and were up getting their new spot up to pup! Cleaning, decluttering, and painting were all activities of the weekend! It was great to have them up - and they even slept over my house while their paint dried!

I also had a chance to play with all my new pup toys! I have this great stuffed sheep, and a cool "Wooba" that is great for both fetch and tug of war. Things were very quiet at the condo, so dad and I played fetch for a while in the back yard. It was nice to stretch the pup legs!

I am now back in Boston where the temperature is 15 degrees colder than it was in the mountains. Pretty pup eh? The wind is off the ocean and keeping things a bit on the cool side for now.

Tomorrow is Patriot's Day. Dad is off to the Red Sox game with his buddies tomorrow am. It looks like the rain will hold off!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

What the Pup?

Hi Pupsters -

Had a quick walk across the street to Harborview. Apparently since my Dad is the lawn Nazi - and yells at people for walking their dogs on it....they have all gone across the street.

Needless to say, the lawn at Harborview looks pretty yucky - and look what I found there today! NO PUPS ALLOWED! I still can't find the pet friendly area!

Dad, we need to go to the park!

Happy Easter!

Hey Pupsters -

Just in from hunting Easter Eggs and eating Peeps! Just kidding! I am about to head to the airport with Dad to pick up Mom who was in Dallas.

Dad and I have been busy with our spring cleaning. Yikes! Not sure how two humans and a pup can have so much stuff - and so MUCH DIRT. I nearly PUPPED when Dad pulled the fridge out and I saw the dirt - and an OLD TOY OF MINE! Dad painted his bathroom yesterday. Nothing too crazy, but just cleaning things up. As you can see from my picture, I was a bit skeptical about the whole process!

Dad was so busy cleaning that he didn't hear grand pupparents Carol and Don call yesterday. Actually, his iPhone was plugged into the Bose Stereo in the living room as he was listening to Pandora Radio. Believe me Carol and Don, Dad STANK - and was covered head to toe in paint! Not a pretty picture!

So, it's Sunday again. Not sure how it is possible. Hope all the pups had a great Easter! Oh, and by the way, in case you have forgotten, a certain pup (or 7!) have a birthday this week! More to come on that!

Logan Tweets

Hey Pupsters -

So hopefully by now you have noticed a "new addition" to Logan's Blog. You can now see all of my Twitter updates (known as Tweets for all the pup geeks out there) on my blog! This was based on feedback that Mom got while out to dinner at Olives with friends Erin and Averil.

These pup fans were worried that I wasn't going to update my blog now that I am microblogging on twitter. Well fear not pupfans! After a little research, dad helped me post some HTML code so that all my updates appear on Logan's Express. Sometimes it is just faster for me to type a quick update on my Ipup rather than opening up my lappup computer!

I am still recovering from a bug - and enjoying a bland diet of rice and scrambled eggs. I am taking it easy this weekend - as are mom and dad. Dad is back to his old self after being hit with a 36hr bug himself this week!

In other news, my Grandpupparent Don sent my dad email - something about Martha Stewart's dogs starting a blog and tweeting on Twitter. Martha's Dogs Twitter? What the pup? Don thinks I should contact a puplawyer since I clearly was pupping online first! Oh well, there is room for all us pups in cyberspace!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! See you on Twitter! Or on the blog!

Hair today....

Hey Pupsters -

All in all, a good week from pup central. Dad was in Rhode Island for the week, so I was the pup of the house. Mom and I had fun while Dad was away. However, Mom was concerned that I was a tad on the dirty side, so she enlisted my dad to take me take me for a clean up!

I am just back from the groomers, and I must say, I look and smell PUPTASTIC. Dad took me over to Watertown first thing this morning.

Now, Dad got his hair cut today as well. But needless to say, there are a few differences:

First, I have a shampoo that cleans my hair and brings out my white coat. Dad on the other hand tries to hide his white hairs!

Second, I was VERY hairy. Dad on the other hand doesn't have quite as much hair as he used to!

Third, my shampoo and pup cut took almost an hour from wash to pup dry. Dad's haircut - about 15 minutes!

Lastly, Dad's Haircut - $23.00. My pup cut - $45.00!

Hope everyone has a hair raising weekend!

Monday, Monday

Hi Pupsters -

Another weekend has come and gone! Mom and Dad spent Saturday where they normally do - out on the slopes! I heard the snow was great, and everyone came back with some color on their face. Saturday night, they went up to our neighbors for dinner - and it sounds like everyone had a puptastic time.

On Sunday, we went to Lowes (well I sat in the car, but I was there in spirit!) as Mom and Dad were looking for some new window treatments for the ski house. Apparently, mom has despised the vertical blinds that have been hanging in the living room and bedroom since the day they bought the place. So after some consultation, they came out and loaded up the car with new blinds - 3 separate white wood mini blinds for the living room - and one large ROOM DARKENING blind for the bedroom.

Now, I heard this new blind in the bedroom makes things so DARK, that Dad thinks it will make me sleep in on the weekends! After all, as a pup on the go, as soon as I see daylight - it is PUP TIME!

The blinds took bit longer for dad to install - so we didn't leave New Hampshire until almost 6pm! Needless to say, when we got home it was time for some dinner - a quick potty walk - and off to bed!

Today I am taking it easy. Dad is working away and I decided to hang out in my crate. It just feels like home even if the door is open! My pup condo if you will!

Looks like its going to be a good week. Dad heads up to Portland, Maine on Thursday, so I get to ride to North Conway with Mom this week! That should be PUP!

Hope eveyone's Monday is off to a pup start!

Day Pup Savings Time

Hey Pupsters -

Wow! What a pup weekend! The sun was shining, the snow was soft, Dad got a goggle tan, and I got to run around the backyard in the snow! It was great to stretch my paws a bit and get some exercise. Mom threw the ball around with me, although I kept losing it in the deep snow piles!

The weather has truly given me some PUP fever! Longer days, more sunshine, and with daylight savings, more time for walks around the neighborhood.

We are now back in Boston and Mom and Dad are getting for a new week. I am checking my pup mail, working on my blog, and getting caught up on the goings around here.

Speaking of goings on, I heard on the radio on the car ride home that they might have found the mass grave of British Soldiers who fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill! Can you imagine that? Apparently the site is up toward the monument on Concord St. Now, no offense to my British friends (Simon, Will, and the gang), but what a find that might be. The history of this place is absolutely pup!

Well, another week is ready to begin. Looks like it might be cool tonight with some light rain/snow. What was I saying about spring?

I hope all my pups remembered to turn their clocks forward!

A Belated Puppy Gras!

Hey Pupsters -

So, this past Tuesday was Mardi Gras! FAT TUESDAY! I love the concept. Eat lots, hang out with your pups, have free stuff thrown at you.....I think everyday should be Puppy Gras! I actually googled Puppy Gras, and what did I find? IT ACTUALLY EXISTS. Check out the pups below - looks like a puptastic time!

According to my dad, he and a number of his British and College buddies made the annual trip to New Orleans in his younger days. Maybe I will make the trip someday!

I have been having a bit of a Puppy Gras this week with 4 days at play group! In fact, I am pupped out as I type today's blog! My pups and I have been hitting the Fellsway - and even found a brook to run through! Needless to say, dad was less than pupimpressed since I just had bath! But you know us springers, if there is water, we will find it!

Much of the snow is gone in the big city, but I hear there was a DUMPING of snow up north last weekend. In fact, we left North Conway early to beat it. Can't wait till we head up tomorrow. And speaking of tomorrow, our friends Kathy and Robert will be back again, as they are looking at a condo up there FOR THE SECOND TIME! Will a contract be the next step? I hope so - as I'd love to have them as neighbors this summer. It would be great to have them take me down to the Ellis River for some serious river fetch!

Hope everyone is had a great week!

Chasing Skiers and Happy Birthday Dad

Hey Pupsters -

Happy President's Day. Just back from a long weekend up north - and I had a puptastic time with Kathy and Robert, who made their 6th visit back to the Mount Washington Valley. Word on the street is that they are looking to buy a house near mine up there. It will be puptastic to have them as neighbors!

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday - and we celebrated by going on a snowshoe tour over at Bear Notch. It was fun - and I LOVED running off leash - and chasing the cross country skiers as they went by. I even saw another springer spaniel on the trails. Another family came up to me to say they thought I was SMALL compared to their springer. After a few pups, I figured out their dog was a FIELD Springer! No pup he is bigger!

I am back in Boston - but I am happy to think this will be a short week!

Happy Birthday Dad and Happy President's day!

A Chip Off the Old Stump

Hey Pupsters!

What a night! Hope everyone was able to take in all the pup action at Westminster last night. While I was cheering for "Stanley", a Sussex Spaniel named Stump beat him out for the Best in the Sporting Group - only to go on to take the BIG PRIZE.

Stanley, who actually was bred with my sister Journey (Journey and I have the same pup parents!), had a great showing in the ring. In today's photo, you can see I was enjoying his showmanship. However, the Sussex Spaniel stole the hearts at Madison Square Garden.

As you may have read, Stump is the OLDEST winner at Westminster at 10 years old (that's 70 PEOPLE YEARS!) He left the show ring back in 2004 and nearly died from a mysterious disease, but was saved by the doctors at Texas A&M. What a story!

While I was pupping for Stanley, I am happy that another spaniel took the big prize. And since my dad went to school in West Sussex, England, how fitting that a Sussex Spaniel came out on top!

February is for PUPPERs!

Hey Pupsters -

The month of January is FINALLY behind us - and now we have February to look forward to...Valentine's Day, my dad's birthday, and WESTMINSTER! Can you believe it is time for the pups to show their stuff in New York City again? According to my grand pup-parent Fred, "my tribe" isn't on until tomorrow. I suppose he is referring to the sporting pups! It should be a good show!

We spent the weekend up north, and mom got to hit the slopes now that she is out of her cast. I can tell that despite enjoying having pup time with yours truly, she was getting a bit of what we call - cabin fever here in New England. And speaking of cabin fever, your pup is getting some himself. Dad even sent me off for an extra day of playgroup today. Before I started my blog, I was running around the house at full speed playing with this Red Sox Bat that sings "LET'S GO RED SOX". Clearly, mom is trying to get some work done, and I was not helping the cause.

Hope everyone is off to a great week! The days are getting longer - and hopefully spring won't be too far away!

Back in Time

Hey Pupsters -

I may have mentioned that my Dad is completely obsessed with the TV show Lost. Ever since he downloaded the first season onto his IPOD to watch on one of his transatlantic flights, he has been hooked. From Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Jack, Hugo, the Others, the Dharma Initiative, Ben, and the Oceanic Six, Wednesday nights are booked from 9 - 10pm Eastern Time.

This season, the island, or the people on the island, seem to be going back in time. For instance, last night our heroes came across a Hydrogen Bomb from the 1950s! We also meet a much younger Charles Whidmore on the Island instead of seeing him in London.

Ah...going back in time. It got my pup thinking.....so I decided to "go back in time" and see what was pup two years ago today! (INSERT LOST SWOOSH NOISE HERE!)

And what did I discover? Well, two years ago, your puptastic hero wasn't even here yet! NO LOGAN'S EXPRESS! However, on January 30, 2007, Mom and Dad took a ride down to Woonsocket, RI to meet Lisa and all her springers, including my Mom GWEN! I came across these photos while I was surfing the web today!

I can tell my mom loves to get the traditional springer belly rub! And dare I say, I look just like her!

I had fun looking back at the calendar today! Now, if I can just get Dad away from his Iphone and watching LOST video podcasts!!!!

I need a belly rub!

Happy Sunday. Phew, where did the weekend go? We just got back from NH and I am relaxing on the couch with Mom as Dad watches a special on Air Force One on the National Geographic Channel. They just finished having tacos for dinner - and I of course enjoyed a pup bowl of California Natural!

I received a "Friend" request on my Dogbook page from my sister Trixie this weekend. That was pretty cool. She needs to get some pictures on her page and put some updates on there. I'd love to hear how things are up there in Maine!

Dad went skiing on Saturday while Mom and I hung out at the ski house. She has one more week in her cast and then I am hoping she might be able to get out and take some turns on the slopes. We'll see! Mom joined the gang at Attitash for lunch. The picture below is Mom, Karen Lyons, and Don Criniti, both who work and ski with my parents! And speaking of the Crinitis, Dad snapped a shot of the three of them before the last run of the day down the Spillway Trail!

When Mom took me out this am, it was -4 degrees! BRRRRRRRRRRRR. No pupping around this am - I ran out, did my business, and jumped back into bed with dad as he the electric blanket cranking!

I had a nice bath today - as you can tell from blog picture. Needless to say with all the snow I have been playing in, I had become a bit dirty. So into the shower I went with Dad and my lavender shampoo! I must say, I am smelling puptastic!

I think Mom and Dad have busy weeks ahead.

Hope all the pups are keeping warm!

Happy Pup Inauguration Day!

Hi Pupsters -

Well what a day! A new President, and new Vice President, and hopefully a new beginning in America! Phew - I am pupped out from all of the TV coverage. Regardless of your pup point of view, hopefully brighter days are ahead for the pup land!

Lots of snow here in the big city! Dad and I just got back from a walk, and the piles are pupnormous! I just love the snow. I love running in it, rolling around in it, you name it.

I had a nice long weekend. Mom took me on a lot of walks as she is still sidelined with her broken thumb. We did get some good news today though. She got her new cast today, and the doctor said it will only be on for 2 weeks! PUPTASTIC I say! She will be ready for skiing before she knows it.

Not much else is new. Dad is off to Hartford tomorrow for the day. I, of course, have pup time planned with Jordan and my pups.

Hope everyone had a great long weekend - and is enjoying the short work week!

January in Boston

Hey Pupsters -

BRrrrrrrrrrr. It is PUP COLD out there! And it is getting colder! Hope all my pups are staying warm. Nonetheless, I have enjoyed getting out with Jordan and the pups and running around the Fellsway! It is so pup!

In other exciting news, dad has been putting peanut butter in my rawhide bones! Mmmmmmm.....Heaven! What a puptastic treat!

So let's see...what else is new? Mom's thumb is on the mend after her surgery last week. The mountain's loss is my gain, as we spent all day last Saturday together!

It seems like Mom and Dad have been busy with work - Dad has been out of the house at the crack of dawn, and Mom has been right behind him. Dad went to Portland yesterday, and on his way home, he clicked a photo of a Jones Motor Truck. Dad explained that his grandfather Ellis, (who my cousin Ellis is named for) owned the company with his brothers. Who would have thought Dad would have seen this in MAINE?

Dad is fired up that "Lost" is on tv tonight - albeit a recap from the past season (Insert Mom eye roll here!) Speaking of, Mom is relaxing on the couch with her SMU blanket - and she seems to be recovering well.

Me, I am finishing this blog and heading back to my peanut butter flavored rawhide.

They say January is a LONG MONTH. I say...bring it on!

Happy Pup Year!

Hey Pupsters!

Happy PUP Year! It may be the year of the OX in the Chinese New Year - but it is always a PUP year around Logan's Express.

I am having a good weekend relaxing here in Boston. Yes, I said BOSTON. Mom and Dad came home early. Let's just say that Mom took a fall on the mountain (I heard it was a pup wipeout!) and broke her THUMB! Good PUP! Needless to say, we made our way back to the city to get things checked out. It appears that she is going to need some putting back together, but she should be back out on the slopes in no time!

The sun is out and I am hoping that if I bring my leash over to Dad, he will take me to the park. We'll see if he picks up on it!

Hope all my pups had a great Christmas and New Year. Mom and Dad are back to work tomorrow. After having them home for 2 weeks, I am looking forward to having the place back to myself!
