RAIN!

Hi Pupsters -

Well, I am hanging out here in the big city as it continues to RAIN! Now, normally, I love playing in the wet weather. After all, I love puddles, rivers, lakes, oceans, and generally any other body of water! Needless to say, Mom and Dad don't exactly share my enthusiasm. Heck, they should just put a on rain coat and take me to the park!

It has been a quiet weekend. Mom cooked her famous beef tips last night which looked very yummy. We watched the movie "What Happens in Vegas..." afterwards which was quite pup. I watched it on the couch with Mom. I think Dad has a crush on Cameron Diaz, but since she isn't planning to come back to Boston anytime soon, I think things are safe!

The good thing about staying in town is that we don't have the 2.5 hr car ride on Sunday. But with the Patriots off today and the Red Sox already in the playoffs, I'm not sure what the afternoon holds.

CONGRATULATION RED SOX

PLAYOFF BOUND! MY PUPS! PUPTASTIC!

Gone by the Dark of Night and Postcards from Abroad

Hi Pupsters -

Well the Edge of Darkness movie folks moved out nearly as quick as they moved in. Gone this morning were the trucks, lights, helicopters, police, and general random people. Your pupster didn't make the film - but we'll give it a shot when the next one comes to town!

I pupped up the mail this am, and noticed we got a postcard from Aunt EE - that came all the way from ITALY! I am going to have to google that - but it sounds far away! EE tells us she has been hiking, cooking, and sampling some great wine! She mentions that she even is painting some pottery and then heading to Florence for the weekend! MY PUP! What a trip. Can't wait for her to come home and visit us up in NH. She has Christmas Card picture duty this year! Oh the joy!

Other than that, I went to play group today. Dad tried to click a couple of photos of me and pups. As always, it was a puptime! Dad told Jordan that his van smelled of ...well...DOGS! Come on Dad! Of course it smells like Dogs!

Off for a bite to eat, and then a nap. I am pupped out!

A Pat on the Head from the PA but no Mel Gibson - YET!

Hey Pupsters -

Greetings from Puppywood! The Navy Yard is CRAZED with the movie Edge of Darkness filming RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE! The trucks, the people, the police - IT'S CRAZY. Thanks to Governor Patrick for giving all the tax breaks to the movie companies! (Ok - no pup-politics on this blog!)

Yesterday, Grand Pupparents Carol and Don stopped by and took my dad to Figs for dinner. Carol suggested that Dad and I get up at 3am and go stroll the set! Now, for those who know my dad, he doesn't get up at 3am for ANYTHING!

Hence Dad and I went for a walk first thing around 7 am hoping that Mel might see how puptastic I am and invite me over for a walk on role. Much to my dismay, I only got to meet a Production Assistant as she was getting a cup of coffee from the catering truck. She actually played with me for a couple of minutes while I tried to impress her! After a few licks, she was on her way!

Wait a minute! Where's Mel? How do I get on that helicopter? Don't you need a PUP in this film?

More breaking details to follow!

Even the Best Pups Can't Live Forever

Hi Pupsters -

So, it is with sad pups that I came across Lisa's website today and saw that Dorothy passed on. Dorothy was one of the first springers Mom and Dad met at Chivarly long before your favorite pup was here.

Ironically enough, Dorothy was born the very same day as my uncle Grigsby - mom and dad's first springer. Lisa has made a very nice video. Break out the kleenex :(

I thought I would take this blog to salute my uncle Grigs. Both of these pics are his!

I think Grigsby and Dorothy remind us how pup life is and how we should pup every minute!

PTTPS! and to Dorothy and Grigsby.

Pats, Skiing, and My New Neighbor Mel Gibson

Hi Pustpers -

Happy Sunday! And what a pup day it is. No clouds, blue ski, and great temperatures. Things are well here in PUPtown. Lots going on since my last blog. Of notable interest:

-- Mom is in Dallas for business this week. She spent the weekend at Grand Pupparents Carolyn and Fred. I heard she went to see SMU play football with Megan and Greg. Looks like the TCU Horned Frogs killed us 48 - 7! Coach Jones - not sure how much more patient we can be!

-- Speaking of football, dad and I have our Pats jerseys on and are ready for Matt Cassell and the boys to go to work against the FISH! Squish the Fish I say!

-- Dad received word that a new movie is being shot in the Charlestown Navy Yard! We have to move our car off the street to allow for all the movie trucks. The movie is called Edge of Darkness and it stars Mel Gibson. They are going to be practicing several helicopter landings right by our house in addition to shooting the film. Dad is going to take me over there tonight to see if your pup hero can make it on the big screen! More to come on this exciting development! I feel like such a movie groupie. More on the Boston filming...

-- The painting project at both homes are going well. We are about 2/3 of the way complete in Boston, and nearly complete at the ski house. I know dad will be happy when all the workmen are gone!

-- Dad got all fired up this morning when he picked up the mail. TWO ISSUES of SKI and SKIING MAGAZINE! Is he nuts?????????? Didn't we just get rid of the snow? I can see that look in his eye now....looking for that fall line down a black diamond. This pup is going to enjoy fall for right now! The snow will be here soon enough!

Other than that, Dad has been taking me on lots of walks and play time. It's not quite mancation, but fun nonetheless.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Best of Logan

Hey Pupsters -
I have been really busy this week. I promise to update the pup blog shortly. Mom is in Dallas for the week, and Dad and I are holding down the fort.

If it works for Matt Segal and Billy Costa on KISS-PUP-FM when they go on vacation - why not do it on Logan's Express?

The Best of Logan......

Unwinding on the Weekend

Hey Pupsters-

Well, after one weekend on hiatus, I am back on the pupottoman in NH. Last weekend, I got a couple of days at camp while Mom and Dad went to visit Ellis, my cousin, down in Washington DC. Despite tropical storm Hanna, it sounds like everyone had a puptatsic time! The best part of pup camp was my day at the pup spa. I always look like a show dog when I get done!

Last Sunday, we went over to our friends Don and Nancy's new house in Andover. While everyone enjoyed dinner, I got play with Nicholas and his pals. They had a great yard and I loved running around and playing fetch with everyone. They even had a swing set with a climbing wall that I tried to climb up! PUPTATSTIC!

Mom and Dad had a hectic week in town with multiple things on the social calendar. Wednesday night was Dad's recognition dinner at "The Firm" down at the Moakley Courthouse. Judging from the chocolate frogs that returned with them, they had a pup time! I heard they even made it over to Olives for a couple of appetizers and the famous chocolate fallen cake! YUM!

Ok, back to your favorite pup.....Since my parents were so busy this past week, I got another day with Jordan and my pals! Never can get enough of play time!

Other than that, I am hanging out with Mom while she continues to knit. Oh, the girafe pillow that Mom made for little Ellis was quite the hit. Carol suggested that Mom make more of them and sell them! Judging from the time it takes for mom to crank them out, I am not sure that that idea will pay the mortgage!

Hope everyone had a great week, and is enjoying the pup weeekend!

Mancation Comes to an End!

Hey Pupsters -

Your puphero is back in the big city. Mancation came and went - and fun was had by all. Our friends Robert and Kathy made the trip to NH and we had a pupstatic time. Highlights included: a big shopping trip to the Christmas Tree Store followed by more shopping at the LL Bean, Brooks Brothers, and other outlet shops at Settlers Green.

A couple of great cookouts followed with Dad's famous steaks one night, and burgers and dogs the next. Wait a minute...what is this thing called a hot dog???? Mom gave me a taste - and it actually was quite pup!

The highlight of the evening was everyone watching the Sound of Music. Now remember, the ski house is in a place called Linderhof, where chalets are called Heidi and at any moment you know that you will hear "Climb Every Mountain" coming from Glen Ledge. We realized that Robert wasn't too up on the adventures of the family Von Trapp when half way through the three hour movie, he asked, "Who is Maria?"

Top things from the weekend: Smores on the fire pit, Kathy's awesome warm dip in the bread bowl, and of course, golf of all flavors: good, bad, and ugly. Even more fun was a box that Grand Pupparents Fred and Carolyn sent to NH that included some Texas Wine for Mom and Dad and PUP BONES for yours truly!!! Thanks FRED!

After packing up their car and making the obligatory musing in the guest book, Robert and Kathy headed back to MA. We finished cleaning the house - or I should say Mom and Dad cleaned while I took a nap!

Mancation came and went - and what a pup time. Ironically enough, on the radio in the car was the song "Mancation" by the Go-Go's as we drove over the Tobin Bridge into Boston. Dad did correct me to say that the real title was VACATION. I think I like my version better!
