What the Duck?

Hey Pupsters -

Just back from a long 4 day weekend up in North Conway. The leaves are on the trees, the grass is green, and the BLACK FLIES are out in FULL FORCE. YUK! Thankfully, I have my Frontline which keeps me FLY FREE!

Mom and Dad took me on a long walk down Town Hall Road. I can hardly believe that this trail, which was only open to snowmobiles, was covered in the white stuff just a couple of weeks ago! This weekend, it was bone dry - except for this nice area that I decided to jump into just as we were getting back to the car! I had a blast - but Dad was not too happy as I was covered in muck! Oh well, a quick bath back at the house had me all up and running again.

On Saturday, dad had the annual condo board meeting - and I am happy to report that he returned with all his limbs and no sign of blood!

Sunday, Mom and Dad played in the Memorial Day Golf Scramble (and if you could see my dad hit the ball, you would SCRAMBLE too!) I believe they came in at par which doesn't sound too pup! Mom, of course, was planting the balls right on the green with her new hybrids. She even had some new golf attire on which made her look like the queen of the course!

Also on Sunday, I headed over to Jackson Village for the great WildQuack River Race. What the pup was all this about? Well, let me tell you.....you first have to buy a duck for $5.00 (or a super/Olympian duck for $20). Next, you drop the little quacker in the Wild Cat river with millions of other rubber ducks while people stand along the banks and cheer them on. Pretty pup eh?

Lots of people came by to say hello to your pupster truly - saying how handsome I was, wanting to know how old I was, where I came from....pup, pup, pup! I guess I still have the pup touch even at my old age of 1!

I am hoping that this short week will in fact be...a short week! Looks like a passing shower coming through Beantown. Glad I am back from my walk with Jordan!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day - and is looking forward to a PUP SUMMER!

Golf, Sun Tea, a Fire Pit, and Why My Dad Never Was a Boy Scout!

Hey Pupsters -

Well, another weekend has come and gone. Why is Saturday and Sunday the fastest days of the week? We just got back from New Hampshire where Mom and Dad spent another couple of days chasing around a small white ball! Mom was playing puptastic with her new hybrids....dad on the other hand.....well let's just say the club championship is safe for now!

Mom bought a huge new container to make SUN TEA! She even has mint growing in her herb garden in the back yard. I can't have any sun tea, but it seemed to put a smile on my dad's face! I am not sure if they were making tea for the whole neighborhood, or if mom was going to open up a Sun Tea Stand, but there was ALOT of tea!
Dad picked up a fire pit this weekend - something that mom has wanted to buy for some time now! They cooked burgers out on the patio (notice Dad's new fence in the background in the photo below!) Dad bought some firewood and newspaper, and was ready to get the fire roaring. One small problem though......every time dad tried to get the fire going........IT WENT OUT! It was too PUP! He must have gotten up 20 times during dinner trying to get the fire pit going again. I think perhaps the firewood was a bit green, but nonetheless, I told dad he shouldn't try out for Survivor anytime soon!

Mom found some kindling (some dried pieces of bark) which made a nice fire for a bit (until dad starting playing with it again). After three newspapers, the latest edition of the Improper Bostonian, and a few paper plate, dad threw in the towel around 9:30pm - vowing to buy a box of Duraflame for next weekend!

Dad is off to Portland tomorrow - so I get another day of PUP CARE! I can't wait. I got to visit with some of my pups at Four Your Paws Only on Saturday! Fun PUP!

We are heading back north for the long Memorial Day weekend! I can't wait to have an extra day of play!

Hope my pups had a pup weekend!

American Pup!

Hey Pupsters -

Happy Wednesday! Only two more days and we are back to the weekend! Ah yes, the weekend - the time when I get to go to New Hampshire and be a country dog.

In the meantime, life has been puptastic (I bet you knew I was going to say that!) The weather in Boston has been PUP and I have been out on my long walks with Jordan AS WELL as a trip to Paul Revere Park to play ball. Tonight there was this HUGE boxer who tried to keep up with me and my tennis ball! I was able to keep a pup length ahead of him though (he was a bit slow...hehehe).

Now I am relaxing waiting for American Pup to come on. I think that Simon is a cool pup - and who knows what is going to come out of Paula Abdul's pup? I tried to borrow dad's pupberry so I could text in my vote - but dad has put the pupberry away! DRAT!
Other than that, not much else is new. Mom had to go to Cincinnati for the day today and she should be home late tonight. What a commute that was today eh?

Hope everyone is having a good pup!

Living with Bob Villa and Martha Stewart

Hey Pupsters -
First off, let me apologize for the lack of pictures on today's blog. Someone forgot to bring the camera to North Conway this weekend. (Name omitted to protect the pup!).

Dad was in California all week, so it was great fun to have him back in Boston on Friday. Mom did a great job taking me for PLENTY of walks up to Paul Revere Park where I get to pup with the other pups. I love to run around and play fetch....mom enjoys chatting with the other pup owners making everyone pup!

We spent the weekend in NH this week. The snow is gone and the golf course is looking PUPTASTIC. However, this was quite the "work" weekend. First, dad, along with the guidance of our neighbor John BUILT a fence partition to separate our patio from the unit next door. Now mind you, dad has never taken woodworking, played the clarinet instead of taking shop in Jr. High School, and well...isn't the most puptastic in this area. But I must say, the fence looks AWESOME. A trip to Lowes, $109 in materials (cedar fencing, screws, stain, etc) and some good old elbow pup yielded great results!

While dad was digging 3 ft holes to install the posts, mom was busy with her green thumb. She planted geraniums in our window box out front, two other window boxes to go on the top of the new fence, and a bunch of herbs and even TOMATO PLANTS. Martha Stewart watch out! Misty green thumbs of Boston is on the move!

After all that work, mom and dad did manage to get a round of golf in before cleaning up and heading back to Boston. I got to sit with mom in the back seat since we gave John a ride home back to MA. His son took his car to get back for a lacrosse game last night.

PHEW, I am exhausted just looking at my pups! Can't believe the weekend is over again!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom Pups out there.

Have a great week.
