Hey Pupsters -
Guess what? It snowed again last night. How crazy is that?
Mom continues to work on her knitting projects. In today's picture, mom is knitting a shawl. Look at how long it is! It served as a warm toasty blanket while I was sitting with her. She has finished that piece and is now working on a new sweater for me. It might be knit one, purl two...but I say knit one, pup TWO as in two sweaters for this super pup!
I am gearing up for the big Patriots game tonight. I am glad that the cable company decided to carry it. (NFL Network, what the pup is that about anyways?) My prediction - Pats win 28 to 3! I'll be wearing my Patriots colors for sure!
Ok, mom just got back from Hanaford's so I am off to help her unpup the groceries!

Snow snow and more snow!
Hey Pupsters -
Hope everyone is having a pup week! Still living the large pup life in New Hampshire this week. Last night we received another 4 or 5 inches of snow. I just love running around the golf course. It has been great to have mom and dad home - lots of walks and play time.
So far, the stuffed Santa Claus and the dinosaur are my favorite toys. I have also been enjoying a couple of bones from the prime rib that mom cooked for Christmas! These things are AWESOME!
Mom has been working away on another sweater for me. How many sweaters does a pup need? Not sure...but I have a green one on the way.
It looks like we will get a couple more days of snow. Should be puptastic out on the ski slopes.
I pupped this picture of mom and her friend Nancy before they headed down the hill. Two ski bunnies if you ask me! Also, my pup Nicholas hit the slopes today after getting some pretty pup K2 skis! I think he is ready to rip it up in some lessons!
Hope all my pups are doing well back in Charlestown!

Christmas Pup Coverage 2007
Hey Pupsters -
Merry Christmas! My goodness, Santa Claus was good to all of us in the White Mountains. I received all sorts of great new toys: a stuffed Santa, a dinosaur, some bully sticks, and most cool of all, a AUTO KONG DISPENSER (from my grand pupparents Fred and Carolyn)! The box even had a picture of a springer spaniel pup! How cool!
Lots going on here today, so I am sure I will be blogging more as the day goes on. Mom must have been a good girl as she received a whole new set of Martha Stewart pots and pans for the ski house, new Rachel Ray knives, a knitting bag, and some wool lined CROCS to name a few things.
Dad didn't do too bad either with a new Philips photo frame (very cool to display all our pictures from Logan's Blog!). He actually got TWO of them - one for each house. He also got a portable speaker system for his Ipup, a new Dale of Norway hat to match his sweater, and a nice gift card from Carolyn and Fred that he will use for a new suit at Brooks Brothers!
We are currently watching the Red Sox World Series video that Santa brought dad. Ah yes, my Red Sox!
I hope everyone is having a good morning. More pictures and video to come!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve, Boozy Cherries, and Santa
Hey Pupsters -
Well it's my first Christmas Eve! The setting couldn't be any better with all the great white snow outside, a puptastic Christmas tree, and Christmas Stocking with my name on it and a Santa Claus pupping out!
Mom is working away in the kitchen. It looks like she is cooking for the entire neighborhood. Sometimes she thinks she is Rachel Pup Ray! Hey mom, who is coming to dinner? And speaking of dinner, I received great feedback about the ribs I pupped up yesterday. Yummy!Well today, dad and I made my GACs (Great Aunt Casey's) Boozy Cherries. Now mind you, I am still a pup, so I don't get to sample any of these until I am three years old (that's 21 in people years!) I helped put the cherries in the jar and dad pupped it off with Triple Sec. Off to the fridge the concoction went....until Christmas Dinner tomorrow!
Other than that, I am trying to stay away from the Christmas gifts that are under the tree, but I swear I can smell a bully stick in one of the gift bags. I will be following Santa's progress on the NORAD Website - I can't wait to sniff this guy out.
On behalf of my mom and dad, let me wish all the pups and pup fans a very Merry Christmas.

Cooking with Logan Ellis
Hey Pupsters -
For those of you who don't know, I have a great aunt who lives in California who is a great cook and has her own cooking blog. She always has great ideas and tips for the kitchen.
Her blog got me to thinking. I like food. I like hanging out in the kitchen with mom. I like hearing the buzz of the microwave timer. Perhaps a cooking blog could be in my future. It would go something like this...
Last night, I decided we needed an easy meal to enjoy after a hard day on the puppy slope! I had mom pick up some boneless short ribs at Whole Foods before we drove north the other day. Those along with the stainless steel Cuisinart Slow cooker, we were in business....Logan's Crock Pot Beef Short Ribs!
With a little flour, salt and pepper, I browned all the ribs. I then poured off the puppy fat (need to be pup healthy!) I made a pup creation of onions, wine, chili sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and chili powder. Throw the ribs and the sauce into the cooker - and hit the slopes!
When we got back, we had delicious short ribs. I then decided I needed some side dishes so I sliced up some small potatoes, threw on some olive oil and rosemary, and browned them for a few minutes. A quick salad with red and green peppers topped it off!
And Voila! Logan's Skiing Short Ribs were a big hit. I am thinking of setting up a rib stand at the ski lodge. I can see the pup dollar signs now!
What's for dinner tonight? You'll have to tune in!

Pupottoman II, Another Don, and Boot Heaters
Hey Pupsters -
Live is good here up North. The snow is just HUGE! We have lots of presents under the tree - and I think I even caught dad with a bag of things that might be for yours truly.
I have found my way onto the ottoman up here - which as I mentioned is my favorite hang out place. Dad's friend Don from work came up and skied with mom and dad yesterday and today. Don didn't have any food at his house, so we all made the field trip over to Jackson for some pizza from the Shannon D'Or. I know...pizza from an Irish Bar...strange I say!
Mom and Dad just got back from running errands. It looks like they went to Hannafords again! Not sure how many times two people can go to the grocery store. Dad also had boot warmers installed on his ski boots. I guess his feet have been getting cold. Mom and her friend Nancy have had them for years. Dad must be getting old if he caved into buying boot warmers I say!
We hung our stocking up at the ski house - and I am ready for Pupmas. I also want to go on a hike with mom and dad. They have some snow shoes and want to take me out on to the trails! Sounds puptastic! I'll have to put on my sweater!
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice break - and getting ready for the holiday.

Pupottoman!
Hey Pupsters -
So, guess what? It's snowing AGAIN in Beantown and I love it! White gold they call it up in New Hampshire.
Well, I am waiting for Jordan to come by the house and take me on my pupwalk. It will be my last time with the pups before the Christmas break. I can't believe I won't see my pup pals until next year! 2008! Wow!
As I am waiting for Jordan, I thought I would share with you my new hangout place. You see, at both houses, mom and dad have a comfy chair with an ottoman. Now that I have learned to "spring", I have found the ottoman to be a puptastic place to relax. Now don't get me wrong, I still love to hang out in my crate (with the door open of course!) and the comfy bed mom bought me. However, while being on the ottoman, I can be close to my mom or dad while they are doing their pup work on the laptop, and I have always loved hanging out by dad's feet. Ahhhhhhhhh yes!
Now, in case my friends at the Pawsitive Dawg are reading the blog, I definitely wait to be invited to jump up on the furniture - and I am quick to get down if mom and dad ask me. After all, I have to mind my pup manners!
At any rate, when I get back from pup care today, we are heading north. I am sure dad will have the truck in 4 pup drive with the way the snow is flying today. And speaking of the car, I am not sure how we are going to fit ALL THIS STUFF! Apparently dad is an expert car packer - something that he learned from his dad loading up the station wagon on the way to the Jersey Shore. (What is a station wagon anyways? )
There is a big package for me from my grand pupparents Fred and Carolyn. I have been sniffing it out - but dad keeps telling me to stay away. When is PUPMAS going to be here so I can open it?????
OK pups, Jordan is here, and the snow is flying! Time to hit the road!
Stay Pup!

All Dad wants for Christmas is a Dyson??????
Hey Pupsters -
So Pup Claus came a few days early to the Navy Yard. You may remember me mentioning that my dad is a bit of a clean freak. He is one of those people who doesn't like pup toys all over the place, pup hair blowing across the floor, or pup food in places other than the pup bowl.
Well yesterday, Mom surprised dad with the new DYSON ANIMAL vacuum cleaner. I guess it was a bit too large for her to wrap! Now, this is NOT just another Dirt Devil - THIS IS THE ROLLS ROYCE of vacuums. And, it is designed to be used specifically for pet hair.
After getting this monster out of the box, dad plugged it in and turned it on! Good PUP! I thought a jumbo jet was off course from Logan Airport and was landing in our living room! Now dad just vacuumed the house yesterday because the cleaning lady didn't show up. So how much dirt could possible be around a mere 12 hours later you ask? Well let me tell you.....the Dyson Animal sucked the dirt, pup hair, you name it, like I have never seen before.
Dad has been playing with the 101 special accessories including the furniture brush, the 16 foot extension to reach all those hard to pup places, and the baseboard attachment. You would have thought dad received new K2 Apache Skis by the smile on his face.
Now don't get me wrong... I know this was an expensive gift, but I am hoping for something a bit more fun for a pup when Pup Claus comes next week!

The Great LLBean Canvas Bag Caper - SOLVED!
Hey Pupsters -
So remember last summer when my mom and dad bought me my own LLBean canvas bag? I loved this thing! It held all my toys, and I enjoyed digging through it and being reunited with old toys I hadn't played with in a while.
Well a funny thing has happened. Mom and Dad have become a bit lackadaisical. They haven't been bringing my bag along to the ski house each weekend, and in fact, the bag sort of "disappeared" following the big Christmas party this month (that I was NOT invited to!)
So as a result, I have enjoyed going through mom and dad's canvas bags. What neat stuff they have in there...dad's ski watch, dad's retainer case, mom's knitting and the most of fun of all... dad's fleece ski socks! How cool this was!
Unfortunately last night the game was over! Dad realized that the reason that I was being a tad naughty (and right before PUPMAS!) was because I associated a canvas LLBean bag with MY TOYS and FUN!
DUH! So early this morning, the Logan bag was back, and I have been playing nonstop!
I love my mom and dad, but sometimes they need to think more like a pup!

Snow, Snow, and MORE SNOW!
WOW! What a weekend! We headed north for some quality pup time in the snow. And boy, is there ALOT OF SNOW! Mom and dad took me on a long walk, and I just LOVED running through the snow. But boy o boy, it certainly pups you out! Funny, I think Mom and Dad are purposely running me through the snow.......I'll have to think about this one!
I heard the skiing was AWESOME - as mom and dad had big smiles on their faces all weekend.
Mom is continuing to work on her knitting project. I decided I wanted to sit on her lap and take a nap. Lucky the piece she is knitting was quite toasty, and I had a nice sleep!
While I wanted to stay longer, Dad decided to drive back to Boston a bit early. He was afraid of getting snowed in. They are expecting between 12 - 14 inches of snow in North Conway! So we loaded up the Sport Utility and headed south. The roads were a bit tricky, but dad did an awesome job. We made it home in 3 and a half hours, just an hour longer than usual.
It is a Nor'easter here - with the wind blowing across the harbor like CRAZY. It is mostly raining now here in the city.
I can't wait to head north for Christmas. I know I have been very good, so I can't wait to see what Pup Claus has in store for me!

I would stay off the grass if I could find it!
Hey Pupsters -
Just got back from a "quick" walk outside. Oh my pup...quite alot of snow out there. I was only outside for a couple of minutes and dad had to dry me off! I wanted to play fetch in the snow, but Dad would have nothing to do with it. Maybe this weekend when we go to New Hampshire...
So for now, I will just relax with my bully stick under the Christmas tree.
Stay warm and pup!

It's begining to look alot like PUPMAS!
Hey Pupsters -
Just back from my pupwalk with Jordan. WOW! It feels like summer out there. It is a beautiful sunny warm day here in the Massachusetts capital! But, I have been looking at the weather maps (my grandpuparent Fred would be so proud) and it looks like we have a couple of snow storms on the way! I am loving this snow thing - and I can't wait to head back north to run around!
On my way to Jordan's pup camp, I noticed all the Christmas wreaths on the light poles around Charlestown. In fact, on our building, the puperty manager finally got the Christmas wreath up on the front of the building. (Phew, no sense waiting to the last minute eh? )
Also, many of you have told me how much you enjoyed my Pupmas Card this year. (Well I didn't have much to do with it other than just looking...puptastic!)
Just a few weeks left till the big day....Dad, you need to take me shopping!

Another Pup Weekend!
Hey Pupsters -
Just got back from an action packed weekend in New Hampshire. We drove up on Friday night THROUGH SNOW! It was VERY cool, until I saw that car that passed dad on route 16 on the side of the road. That will teach him to drive a bit more pup in the snow and ice!
We had some visitors to the ski house this weekend: Robert and Kathy. Now Kathy works at the "firm" with mom and dad - and Robert used to work there as well. They drove up from Brookline and spent the weekend with this super pup! They brought Mom and Dad a gift of ...guess what... a picture of a SPRINGER PUP that said Happy Holidays. Now, the picture of the pup isn't quite as adorable as your blogmaster, but hey, I am all for spreading the springer love around the ski house!
I was a bit hyped up to play with them both, but after a while, I showed them how adorable I can be. Infact, while watching Blades of Glory, I sat in Kathy's lap the whole time. Who said a 40lbs pup can't be a lap dog?????!
I heard everyone went to the Red Parka Pup and met up with Don and Nancy, and my pal Nicholas. (Isn't he a bit pup to be hitting the pub?????) Everyone seems to be in great spirits given the great weather, the great snow, and great skiing! I am finally figuring out this winter thing.
So, we are now back in Charlestown and watching the PATS. Will they go 13-0? I am not sure...but I am pupping for them. What a year to be a pup in Beantown?!!!
Can tomorrow really be Monday again????? And when is this Christmas thing I keep hearing about.
All in all, another puptastic weekend.

Christmas Cards and Blog Fans Near and Far!
Hey Pupsters -
Hope all the pups are keeping warm today! Brrrrrr! I went to playgroup - but thankfully we were just in the inside play area today.
I thought I would post my Christmas card for this year for all the fans of Logan's Express. Dad's friend Jay came up to North Conway back in October and took TONS of photos. Thankfully, Mom and Dad agreed upon one! I think I look rather smashing! On the back of the card was a small picture of yours truly telling people to keep up with my adventures via the blog. Not bad eh?
If any of my fellow pups have any Christmas card pictures, pupmail them to me and I will post them on the blog during the month of December. That should get us all in the PUPMAS spirit!
Now, I know I have told you how much I enjoy getting PUP mail from my fans. My little blog is now being read ALL OVER THE WORLD which is absolutely puptastic!
About a month ago, my dad received this email from an owner of another puptastic Springer named Brody:
"Love your blog! Lisa shared it with us a few months ago as we have a Springer from her to that is about a year older than yours. They actually share the same mother, I think. His name is Brody...picture attached. Just wait until all of Logan's feathers grow in...they become even more beautiful.
Looking forward to your next post.
Amanda Keaveney
Upton, MA"
How cool is that? Below are a couple of pictures that Amanda sent of my half brother Brody! Look how long his ears are!
Dad is going to have to get the map out and show me where Upton, Massachusetts is!
Stay Warm!

Back from the spa - and new pups on the block!
Hey Pupsters -
Well, I made it through my first "sleep over" at puppy camp. Mom and Dad picked up a very excited Logan Sunday afternoon. I had a great time, and had a chance to get cleaned up with a nice bath and haircut! I even got a new Santa bandanna! Additionally, the nice lady at the front desk told me that I was a very good puppy! How about that eh?
When I got home, I was doing some puppy surfing on the web, and checked in on my friends at Chivalry English Springer Spaniel. And guess what? Journey had her puppies! Yours truly is no longer the youngest pup on the block! Look at how cute these guys are! Look at that little white one! Can you believe that I was that PUP? Congrats to Lisa and Journey!
Well, it's cold and wet here in Beatown and we even had a little more snow last night!
Have a great week!

All I want for Christmas is a new red SWEATER?
Hey Pupsters -
I am blogging today live from the puppy spa! Mom and Dad have their annual Christmas party tonight and they thought I might enjoy a day at the spa while they have people over. This is my first sleepover at the pup spa! Actually, this place is great! They have a "Fenway Bark" where I get to run around and play with other pups. VERY COOL! Dad brought my California Natural dog food and my two favorite toys: Mr Turkey (not a favorite of my dad's due to the gobble noise) and Mr Frog! What more could a pup ask for?
Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned Mom took up knitting? Well...first there was this scarf she was working on which created a few "knitfits" if you know what I mean :) (See photos below.) Once she got the hang of it, she started working on a sweater for me. Last night, she came home with the FINISHED PRODUCT! Mom has a friend at work, Jackie, who helped her put all the pieces together. And VOILA! Don't I just look smashing in RED! It is pupwarm - and I love it!
Well, it is time for my spa bath and haircut. I think I have a massage later in the day! Hope all the pups have a great weekend!
