Why is it so pup so early?

Hey Pupsters -
Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend! I had a busy pup week - but I am happy to be back in the Granite State with Mom and Dad for a few days!

While I slept for most of the ride north today, I did notice something curious... It was 7'O pup and IT WAS GETTING DARK OUT! What is going on here? Just last week I know I was going for a pup walk around 8pm - and it was still light as pup out!

Not sure what is going on, but since I was born in April, the days seemed to get LONGER UNTIL NOW! Very strange...and I am not sure this pup likes this. I will definitely have to keep an eye on this situation! After all, how am I going to keep my pup tan if the sun goes down so early!

Other than that, all is well. I still love playing with my Mr. Chuckit and the flying squirrel. Today's pup picture is me playing with this awesome toy, Mr. Chuckit! Check out the face on this guy!

Here is hoping for a visit to the Four Your Paws Only tomorrow! I am due for a pup ice cream with LOTS of toppings! (Better bring your wallet dad!)

Shout outs to my brother Derik and sister Trixie, who all have visited the pup blog this week. Below is a picture of Trixie (formerly Daisy) who now lives in Maine. Keep it pup guys!

Red Sox need more PUP!

Hey Pupsters -
What the pup is going on with the PUP SOX? I can't believe we lost ANOTHER GAME to those Yankees! (I may have been born in CT, but I was born on the Red Sox side of the state!)

Dad said it is always a pup biter right till the end! YIKES!

I wanted to take the Ferry over to Fenway Pup, but then dad told me the game was in New York? Where is that?

Let's hope for some better pup tomorrow!

Dawg training and agility course?

Hi Pupsters -

Just back from the Pawsitive Dawg for my second training class. A couple of my buddies were back from the first class - including Fenway the black lab. We got in a pup of trouble for "playing". I guess weren't supposed to be doing that.

We got to the Pawsitive Dog early, so we went on a pup about around the pet store. I got to check all all the different dog food, treats, and toys! Good pup! So much choice!

Oh, I forgot to mention something in yesterday's blog. Before I got back to Boston, I was watching some pup in New Hampshire at the ski house. Somehow I came across a show where all these dogs were doing an agility course (at least that's what Dad called it.) I was completely mesmerized by this. I could have watched that all day! The picture below is me watching Misty-Rose. Funny, that dog has the same name as my MOM!

Not much else is new. Jordan comes tomorrow. Mom is off to Salt Pup City. Where is that?

Ice Cream Sundaes, Puppy Playtime, River Swims, and a PUP OUT!

Hey Pupsters -
What a busy day here in the Mt Washington Valley. We went to puppy play time at Four Your Paws Only. I played with Rocky (that's the little white dog in the picture) as well as Sage, Kenya, and Jackson. While Mom and Dad did some puppy shopping, the nice lady announced that they now have a make your own puppy sundae with puppy ice cream and custom mix ins! Dad didn't buy me one (I think his wallet was pupped out after buying more treats, a flying squirrel, and a Mr. Chuck it!) All in all it was a fun time.

When we got back to the condo, we went for a swim down on the Ellis River. Mom came along this time. She couldn't believe what a great swimmer I am (duh...I am a pup springer after all!) We played fetch until I was completely pupped out!

Later we headed back to the condo - and a huge storm came in. I have never heard thunder like that, and the sky was a bright color pink. Then all of the sudden, the TV, lights, and AC went out. It was a PUP OUT! NO PUP! YIKES! Thankfully dad had a number of candles. Mom started making tacos but they were put on hold for over a hour till NH Electric got the pup going again.

What a weekend! Mom and Dad are off to play that golf thing again, and I am just taking it easy this Sunday am. A big pup out to Fred. I know dad has missed his instant pups - but I want him to know everyone is doing great.

Back to Puptown later today! These weekends are TOO pup!

Pupping in the River

Hey Pupsters -
Just back from a walk with my dad - who took me down to the Ellis River. How cool was this? I ran right in to cool off - and got back to my "Springer Spaniel" roots (you know, I LOVE THE WATER!)

There was a nice sandy beach and the water was pretty shallow. Dad brought the air-dog along (it's like a tennis ball but shaped like a donut!) We played fetch like there was no tomorrow!

The best part was that dad was not wearing a bathing suit - so I decided to play the wet dog role, and JUMP ALL OVER HIM!!! What was he thinking not putting on a pup suit to go to the river. Silly huh?

At any rate, I am looking forward to a great weekend in New Hampshire. I think it is going to be pretty hot - so I am hoping for more trips to the river.

Oh the picture, that is me after dad gave me a bath! I am pup drying!

Pawistively Puptastic!

Hey Pupsters -
Well, what a busy day. I was at puppy day care most of the day. What a puptastic time that was!

After daycare, I was off to my first day of training at the Pawistive Dog (pronouced DAWG)! I met a bunch of new friends including a Labrador named Fenway (she had envy in her eye when she saw my Red Sox collar) and a pug name Diesel, who belonged to a co-worker of Dad's. Actually, the first class was more for Mom and Dad. Mom was taking copious notes while Dad tried to keep me quiet. Here is picture of my personal notebook!

Not sure I got an A+ in the class, as I wanted to PLAY with the other pups. When I took a look around the place, I saw two FULL GROWN SPRINGER SPANIELS! They were sitting quietly in their crates. They were really cool! I hope I get to be that big someday!

And speaking of crates, one of things that mom and dad picked up was to feed me in my crate. Not sure how much I like this idea! They also said I need to eat in 15 minutes or less or the bowl goes away. What are they trying to do, make Mom and Dad the pack leader?

At any rate, it was a busy busy day, and I am one pupped out pup! We have our next class on Monday night. I think dad has all sort of training to do with me before then!

I Am Official!

Hi Pupsters -
So today, I became official. I received my official AKC (that's American Kennel Club) papers. My real name...Chivalry's Boston Harbor Approach.

Now, what kind of name is that? For some reason, dogs have these funky names. So according to my dad...Chivalry is the name of the breeder....Boston Harbor is where I live...and just across from the Charlestown Navy Yard you can see runway 32L. The name of the airport...Well LOGAN of course!

Do you think my dad spends too much time on airplanes? Well, you can still just call me Logan!

Tomorrow is the big training day. I am sure I will have lots to blog!

Fetch, Mirrors, and Fun!

Hey Pupsters -
Well, I am bit behind on the blog. I started it yesterday from NH. BRrrrrrr..... It was cold there. When dad took me potty this am, it was around 50 pup degrees! Still no one was wearing ski clothes yet, but the weather seems to be changing. I heard it even snowed a bit on the Tuckerman's Ravine side of Mt Washington. SNOW?! I can't wait!

Yesterday, I got to play with my friends Sarah and Zach who live in the condo down the way. They couldn't believe how big I am now! They were back up for a few more days of vacation before they go back to school. Check us out playing fetch AGAIN!

And speaking of school, guess who gets to go to school this week. YES! Yours truly - along with mom and dad. We go to the Pawsitive Paw for our first training session on Tuesday night. It sounds like great fun! I have play group and school this week! What a lucky pup I am!

While pupping the web earlier today, I found that my breeder Lisa posted pictures of my brother Derek (formerly Donald) and sister Dana (who has moved to sunny California!) I hope to see them on TV at the Westminster Kennel Club show in the future! Maybe I can organize our puppy reunion someday. After all, I am pretty good with the puptop computer! Stay Pupped!

Nothing too exciting today. I went for a long walk with Mom this am (while dad slept in). My new thing is that I wake up when the sun comes up and I sit and just stare at myself in the mirror in bedroom until one of them decides to take me out. Dad thinks I am a bit vain, starring at myself and all, but hey, I am a handsome pup.

We got back to Charlestown around 6pm tonight. After dinner, we took a nice pup walk around the harbor. I even heard the cannon go off on the USS Constitution (they shoot it off at sunset! )

Well, I guess I should get back to playing with dad. He looks bored! After all, he only drove the car for 3 hours in traffic (those Hampton tolls were KILLER today!)

Hope all the pupsters have a fun week! I am sure I will have lots to report!

Went for a swim!

Hey Pupsters!

Just back from puppy daycare - where I got to go for a swim in the kiddie pools at the playgroup! What fun! I got to test out the water without getting in too deep. It was a great way to stay cool today! I can't wait to go again!

Mom and Dad have been talking about taking me swimming in one of the rivers in New Hampshire.

That would sure be a pup time!

I Pup Beantown!

Hi Pupsters -
What another great day here in the big city! And what a great night last night was! First, mom and dad took me on a huge walk around the Navy Yard. Of course, like every night I go for a walk, strangers come up to me, want to pet me, ask how old I am, etc. etc.

They opened the harborwalk at the building across the street. Here is a picture of me taking in the new sights!

We then pupped over to Pier 4, so that I could get my picture taken with the Boston Garden.

I got to thinking...how will the Celtics and the Bruins do this year? What is this about Reggie Miller coming out of retirement? He is certainly NO PUP! And how about Shawn Thornton coming to the B's from the Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks? I think it is going to be a pup time at the Garden. Dad better take me to a few games!
Then of course, there are the Red Sox. How about that game last night? John Lester is awesome! And how about Jason Veripup and Coco Pup! I tell you, these sox make me crazy. I am glued to the TV every night! Oh my pup! Thankpupness that the Yankees lost. We are now 5 games ahead!

Ok, enough of the sports report. I am off to the Fellsway with my playmates.

Hope everyone gets outside and enjoys the puptastic weather.

Another happy pup day!

Hi Pupsters -
Well - just another great day here in Boston. Just back from puppy day care. Jordan said that I didn't even want to get out of the van when I got home! Too much fun playing with all of the other pups!

I lost another tooth today which is becoming pretty common. The frozen wash clothes with the liver treats are really helping me during the teething process.

Other than that, not too much else to report. I think dad might be going to see the Red Sox tonight, so I am glad I got to go out earlier today!

I just pulled out dad's book from his beach bag. James Pupperson....looks like a good read!

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Pickle?

Hey Pupsters -
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I certainly enjoyed mine pupping around New Hampshire. It was very relaxing and the weather was PUPTASTIC again!

However, I must say, a strange occurrence began this weekend. My dad starting calling me Pickle. Now, I heard that Don and Misty had a bunch of names for their other dog, Grigsby. Pet names I suppose (hahaha). But come on....PICKLE? Is that the best he can do?

Is it because I am green like Kermit the Frog? NO! Is it because I live in a barrel? NOPE! Is it because I am crunchy and taste good? HECK NO. Is it because I look like this?

NOPE AGAIN!

I think the mountain air and altitude is getting to my humans! PICKLE? Come on dad, you can do better than that!

Loving the weekend!

Hi Pupsters -
Greetings from the ski house. Still no snow, no skiers, or even people in winter clothes. Nonetheless, I love NH. It may be tax free day in MA, but it is ALWAYS tax free here in NH.....Live pup or die! Got to love it.

Before leaving, mom and dad took me on a walk around the Navy Yard. They let me do some window shopping at the local real estate agency! Oh my PUP! A bit pricey for this dog!

Back to NH, I have had a great day. Lots of fetch, walks, and fun. A pup out to my fans at Four Your Paws Only. Also, pups out to my girlfriends at the Red Parka Pub (the red parka pup to me!) including Amy and Kellsey! All in all, I am enjoying a nice, humid-free weekend!

As they say in NH, Live Pup or Die!

Rain, Rain, Go Away....

Hi Pupsters -

So today, I was ready to go out and play - and what do my eyes see? RAIN! What is up with this? No hikes to the Fellsway, no doggy day care, NO FUN! All I can do is look outside and watch the seagulls fly over head. Dad doesn't even want to take me for a long walk - as he is afraid I will get all dirty again!

So does Dad have any rainy day activities planned? Perhaps building a puppy fort that we can play in? How about a trip to the pup theater to see Underdog? A run to Petco to get a new toy? NOOOOOOO! Dad decides he needs to CLEAN the house on his vacation day!

Most dogs hate the vacuum cleaner. However, this pupster loves all cleaning tools including mops, swiffers, and vacuums. So I have been chasing dad around all morning. That will show him to not have any rainy day activities planned for me!

We are off to the ski house this afternoon. Here is hoping for a nice weekend!

Burning around Beantown

Hi Pupsters -
Phew - what a busy day!
First, my dad took me over to Toureen Kennels and Spa for my first puppy haircut. Actually, they didn't really cut too much. I just got a great bath, trimmed my paws, ears, and whiskers (I was starting to look like a cat). Frank at Toureen didn't even charge dad for the visit. It was alot of fun and I even got a nifty bandanna with dinosaurs on it!
Next, dad decided to take me on a pupabout...over to Fenway park - where Dad attempted to get some photos of me. I, however, was more interested in the BU Co-eds who wanted to come over and pet me! They were really nice to me.
Next, over the bridge to Cambridge - and Dad tried to get a few more photos of me looking at the Boston skyline. He almost got run over by some old lady riding her bike - as he was looking in the view finder of the camera rather than the oncoming bike traffic! It is such an awesome day here in the city. The water looks great. I wanted to jump in - but Dad would have nothing to do with it.

Now I am back in Charlestown. I am pupped out! Having Dad home on vacation is wearing me out !

Frolicking along the Fellsway

Hi Pupsters -
Just back from my puppy time with Jordan. Instead of going to the daycare center - today I went on my first off leash hike out on the Fellsway. It was sooooo cool!
See, when Jordan comes to pick me up, I get to ride in the front of his van. (He doesn't want me to disturb some of the more veteran dogs!) Riding in the van is half the fun - as I get to socialize with all my pup friends!

Walking without the leash was awesome. It was a great summer day and I can't wait till I get to go again!

By the way, you may have noticed a place where you can now sign up to receive my puppy blog via email. On the left hand side of the page, there is a place for you to enter your email. That way, you won't have to check the site, and will only get an email when I have added new content! Pretty cool eh?

BUSTED! WHITE PAWED!

Hi Pupsters -
Well, I am happy to be blogging tonight NOT from puppy jail...........

Let me take you through the day...

I lost a couple more teeth last night. Dad has saved one - making mom say ICK!

I went on a great walk today at puppy daycare. Jordan told Dad that I was EXHAUSTED - and crashed after playing with my friends. Next, Carmen, the cleaning lady, and her daughter, Carmilla, came to clean the house. I love playing with both of them.

Dad came home - and took me to do my potty. However he got on the computer, and I decided to do some exploring (what is a pup to do without a laptop).

Last night, I found this really cool picture frame on dad's night stand. It is a picture of a skinny dad with more hair (hahaha) as well as with mom and my grand pupernet Carol. Dad saw me playing with this - and took it away.

So today, while dad was doing his email, I decided to go on a pupabout. I am learning how to jump - and I was able to grab the frame - and well....chew it. Heck, I am teething right!

Now, I know I have hundreds of dollars of new toys. But this picture looked like a great toy. What is better than chewing on mom and dad?????? Well nothing...but chewing a picture of them works pretty good!

Needless to say, dad was less impressed. UGH! Oh well.....I am hiding under the dining room table writing this blog while he cools off!

Dad is on vacation for the rest of the week.....says he is taking his car to the dealership for service, taking me for a haircut, and going to the beach. BEACH? BEACH? I hope I am going............

Happy to not be in puppy prison!

Pawisitive Dog

Hi Pupsters -
Well, just got back from the + DOG (Pronounced Pawistive Dawg in Bahstan speak!) This place does really cool training, and tells my parents how to think more like a dog! The owner of the place, Jennifer, has been training dogs for 15 years in Boston. Everything from basic skills - to therapy dogs. There were a bunch of dogs there - all sitting perfectly still on their beds! Amazing!

Jennifer interviewed mom and dad for a while. Then, she took me for a spin. She said I was a very HAPPY dog with great temperament. Of course! She also said I came from a great breeder! OF COURSE !

So, it looks like mom and dad signed me up class beginning in late August. It should be fun. I hope they teach mom and dad how to be a better dog! They have some work to do.

Summer in New England!

Hi Pupsters!
What a great weekend!

Mom got back from her business trip (where the heck is Cincinnati by the way?) Let's see...what's new....

My new teeth are growing in nicely. I won't post another picture of my teeth as I got feedback that it pupped some people out! We went up north in the sleep machine. That is what I call Dad's car! I get in...and I go to SLEEP! I love it.

Mom and Dad did that thing where they chase a small white ball with a club. Very strange game. I would much rather be chasing a toy or something!

Lots of walks around the Linderhof, where Mom and Dad have the ski house. I am not sure why they call it a ski house. I have seen no skiing to date! And what is this thing called snow? All I know is that it has been Pup and Humid! SNOW eh? Can't wait to see that.

I hear a haircut is on the agenda for this week. Will keep all the pupsters up to date on that.

We are back in Boston...and the weather is puptastic! Very cool on the waterfront! I hope mom and dad take me for a walk after they finish the Sea Bass!

Have a great week!

Another week!

Hey Pupsters -
Well another week comes to a close (ok - almost. I am already thinking TGIP - Thank God it's Pup Day!). The Red Sox are playing an early game today which I am watching right now. I am a bit pupped out - as I went to play group again today. Lots of fun!

Mom had a business trip this week - so it's been Dad and I hanging out. I am continuing to grow. Remember that picture of me next to my LL Bean Bag (Dad tried unsuccessfully to put me IN IT!). Little Logan

Look at me now!

I have had a lot of requests to have some pictures made near some of the historic sites in Boston. I hope to take a pup around the Freedom Trail, pup over to the Boston Garden, and even a pup around Fenway Park! Stay tuned for updates.

Other than that - it's hot and humid here in the big city. My new teeth are coming in nicely - if I say so myself!
