Last night Aunt EE, a friend of Mom and Dad's, stopped by the house. They all went to dinner at the Navy Yard Bistro. Funny - they didn't invite me, and I know I have seen pups sitting on the patio there!
But, Aunt EE decided to stop by and see...yours truly. I gave her the full puppy treatment...licking, chewing, and generally being, well, puppy adorable. She was wearing an awesome neckless that I tried to chew off. No luck though! I'll get it next time!
Other than that, things are quiet. Dad thinks I have a case of the morning crazies. What is he talking about????? I am just ready for some pup fun. Morning crazies...please!
I need to finish packing as we are off to the great north later today. Oh, I did meet the pup walker Jordan yesterday. He is very cool. I can't wait till we get started. I heard he wants to take me to the Fellsway (where ever that is - but it sounds cool) but Dad is being a party pooper, and just wants to start with some simple walks around here till I get a little bigger.
BIGGER? I am 11.2 lbs! How much bigger does he want me to get?

A trip to the V-E-T, and getting ready for vacation!
Morning Pup Fans -
Well I made it through my first trip to the vet! Actually, I had no idea where I was going, so I did what I always do the car....SLEEP! When we got to Watertown, we went in the brand new vet clinic where everyone was really nice to me. I got to step on the scale (11.2 pounds!) - and then went to see Dr. Scanlon. He was great. He checked me out - and told me I was PERFECT! Yes, PERFECT! I had to get a couple of shots, but I hardly even noticed.
Afterwards we went next door to Toureen Kennels, where Dad used to take Grigsby. The place was AWESOME. I can't wait till mom and dad go out of town. The puppy day care looked like tons of fun. One of the guys who works there, Chris, allowed me to check out the whole place - and then gave me a chew toy. Boy, was this a fun field trip!
Speaking of field trips, we are getting ready for vacation in NH. As you can see, my bag is packed. I am ready for some pup-relaxation! I am sure dad will have his camera and laptop, so I will do my best to keep the blog fresh.
Until then -
PTTP!

Dog Days of Summer
Wow! Is it hot here in Beantown today! While watching the weatherman this am, I learned about the 3 H's. HAZY...HOT...AND HUMID!(Pete Bouchard, watch out!) So far though, I am having a relaxing day in the pup conditioning (notice the fan behind me! It's like being on a beach...but different!)
Later today, Dad is taking me something called a vet. He keeps telling me how awesome it is going to be and how much I love riding in the car. Somehow I think Dad is selling me a set of encyclopedias on this one. We'll see...
I want to give a "pup" out to my grand pupents Fred and Carolyn. I hear they are reading my blog regularly. I hope all is well in Texas (not sure where that is - Dad is going to have to get a map out for me!)
That's all for now...Stay cool!

Newspapers, Crocs, and Gnomes
Hello Pup fans!
While eating...errr reading the Boston Globe this morning, I noticed it is going to be a SCORCHER here in the big city. Luckily Mom and Dad left the Pup Conditioning running in the house. Later today, the pup walker is coming by to meet me. I hear he is pretty cool - but I will have to sniff him out. More to come on that.
Thanks to all the pup fans for your emails. I am collecting all your questions, and will post replies on this blog from time to time. Stay tuned and keep reading. While in New Hampshire last weekend, I came across a couple of odd things. First, these curious shoes called Crocs. As you can see from this picture, I had to check these things out. Made of rubber and smelling like my dad's feet (mom says YUK! but I say...HEAVEN!), I thought these were the best toys ever. However, dad didn't think the same - and put me outside.
So, crushed that the Crocs were not for me, I decided to explore a bit. While sniffing through the mulch bed, I was startled to see this curious little man. Who was this little man? Why was he standing here? Why was he so little? I circled around him a bit...barked at him...and nothing. Not a word, not a wink, not a peep. This guy was going nowhere. With a bit more investigation, I decided to do what any pup would do. I decided to bite its head off. Odd this creature never moved. What is this dude's deal? After about 5 minutes, I decided this gnome was the lamest friend ever - and moved on! I don't know how he can sit still all day!
Dad tells me we are going on vacation. Not sure what is going to be different on vacation than off vacation for me. We will be in New Hampshire for the 4th of July week. I hear there are all sorts of cool activities up there...including a puppy ice cream social at Four Your Paws Only. I can't wait.
Keep your emails coming...and keep COOL!

Slept through the night!
Greeting Pup Fans from the Granite State!
Well, last night was a big night. Yes, yours truly, slept THROUGH THE NIGHT! Mom and Dad drove me up to ski house last night (I love travelling puppy class - more on that on a future blog!). I was starving since they didn't want to take a chance on feeding me before leaving Boston (I am still working on the whole potty thing...)
After a yummy dinner of California Natural, I was ready to PLAY and PLAY and PLAY! Mom and Dad were trying to eat dinner, but I would have none of it. After all, I did SLEEP in the car for 2 1/2 hours (something I heard my big Uncle Grigsby never did). So I ran around, played ball, fetch....you name it. Dad took me outside - and boy, what a bunch of great smells. Dad keeps saying potty potty potty and for some reason he gets all excited when I...well...go potty!
At about 10:30, I could tell Mom and Dad were ready to crash. Dad has been keeping me up till about 11 or 11:30 pm, but I decided to be a good boy. I went right into my kennel - and went to sleep. Next thing I know...the sun was coming up. IT WAS 6AM!
Dad was very excited - and even took me for a ride in the car to get the newspaper. By 9am I had eaten breakfast, played fetch, run around outside...and yes, did some potty, and now I am updating my blog.
I am getting tired - so I think it might be time for a nap. Mom is watching the food channel (not sure why she likes watching this all the time - something for a future blog) and dad is reading the Boston Globe.
OK - good time to sign off for now.

Week One
Well week one in Boston has come and gone, and I have settled quite nicely into life in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Let me introduce myself. My name is Logan, and I am a 9 week old Springer Spaniel Puppy. I live with my human parents Don and Misty in Boston, MA.
I came to live with them last week when they picked me up in Thompson, CT from a great breeder named Lisa. I had so much fun there!
Last weekend, we spent the first weekend together as a family up in New Hampshire. It was a long car ride, but I enjoyed playing in the back seat with Misty (though I think the traffic on 495 was making my dad crazy!). New Hampshire was awesome and I got to do a lot of sniffing around. There was plenty of grass for me to play...and my favorite spot of the whole weekend was the tile floor in the kitchen! It was nice and cool on my belly!
On Sunday, we made the trip home to Charlestown. WOW! This city is HUGE! I got to see the harbor and all the boats on the drive in. VERY COOL!
Mom had to go on a short business trip this week, so dad and I got to bond. When mom got home, I decided to explore her Tumi suitcase (I hear they are expensive - but it was sure fun to play in!)
I have been on a few short walks, and all the neighbors are making me feel welcome. Dad has been working with me to potty outside, and I am getting pretty good at it. I also love my puppy food (California Natural) and Dad has been training me with different kinds of treats. I also have lots of fun toys - and I am even going into my crate without too much of a fuss (though of course I would rather be exploring neat places like under the couch or under the bed.)
I am very happy in my new home - and my new parents are great. (Though I like to get up when the sun gets up...I don't think Dad is a morning guy!).
When dad leaves, I will sneak into the den and update my puppy blog. I will update all my friends on my adventures! Also feel free to post any notes/questions.
We are off to New Hampshire again this weekend. I heard Mom wants to take up the bikes, but dad said he has to see how much stuff we have (heh heh! I am not a light traveller).
Until next time.
